How tf do you decide strains?

If you could get certified clones then thats the best way to get a keeper strain. Otherwise research and pic your breeders. I would stay US based because of customs and being able to reach the breeders directly and get some sort of decent quality and customer service if you need it. Also the fact that you have forums and social media to back it up and also to reach the breeders directly.

I Definitely dont trust people enough to buy a clone online for a high price not being able to see it and how it turns out in person first

You guys act like its just that simple to go out and find an award winning grower with an award winning strain to buy clones from and I'm pretty sure its not going to be that easy for me

It definitely isn't easy for me either. That's why I'm trying to pop the very best seeds I can. I want to find a plant that everybody else wants. I figure the trading scene might open up for me if I have something worthy to offer.

I was wondering this too, I seen a post on how to "bonsai" the mothers to keep them small and still get plenty of clones off from it... Im considering doing it with one of the clones in my cloner right now because the mother is very large... Ill see if I can dig up the bonsai thing for you.

no worries I have read that article. I tend to only save the largest/most vigorous plants..... I cull a lot as they go. First time back in a long time so I don't really want to post up too much until I have more practice. Never really got beyond growing em big, looking for higher quality genetics this time.

I let them get tall enough to take clones then flip to bloom. I don't top them or train them. The clones stay in cups and get chopped down to bottom branch 2x threw 9 weeks of moms budding and get fed full strength nutes. Usually get about an ounce per 1 gallon pot on testers.

Yes clone to clone. I've been doing that since 2003. Started out keeping moms and cloning off them when I first started out until I got cloning down.

currently I've got 6x blueberry cheesecake under 2 1kw se hps, and some assorted freebies under veg lights in soil. I've got plenty of space to work with just worried about keeping it light proof for the different cycles. If I knew how to reliably delete metadata from photos I'd post up but it worries me . I let them get way too large for my space, ~36" tall at the moment, 1 week into 12/12

I originally had some grapefruit kush in the back of the room, but the cheesecakes leaned more sativa than I realized and have stretched. I went ahead and culled 2 short plants and raised the lights to maintain ~24", figured it was better to spread them out and just let the large ladies have all the lights. I know I'll hit nowhere near even .5g/w .... using the lux meter I'm trying to maintain ~40-50k on each, but the sides are getting shaded out. Figured a sp250 on the back wall would light those buds up nicely.

That's how I like them, 36inch bouquet shaped with 8 or more tops that hit 6ft or more. Buy a old digital camera off eBay for $10 just make sure it's over 10 megapixel.

I use 2 tents to separate the cycles in my house, the tents are right next to each other but I don't have any problem with light leak myself

yeah I topped em once and just let em go, trimmed up the sides when I flipped the lights. There's a ton of bud sites just hope it turns out better than the grassy auto's I tried before, or the mediocre bud I let get hit with mites. I've got another ~24" to the top, so as long as temps stay reasonable outside I should be ok.... :fingers crossed:

I went with DCSE for some black friday specials. I'm still going to run c99 from a few different breeders just to see if I can find the pineapple pheno. Always wanted to try that and dont care if there are stronger things out there now.
