f series led dyi build

so i've decided ill be taking apart a 2 by 5 shelf i built and converting it into a grow box. i've decided that i would be making a led strip f series build and i was just hoping for someone that knows more than me about them to chime in. im pretty much planning on using 2 duel channel 4 ft f series led 3500k strips, tho i'm also considering doing 4 single channel strips. i was just wondering if the duel channel would still provide enough uniform coverage and if the mix of 2 3500k and 3000k would worth the extra effort and little bit of cash. also any other advice that you feel is good for a first time dyi light guy/ indoor grower of weed that would be great.

I'm still acquiring parts for my bridgelux eb gen 2 strip build but no grow experience but I can help with some of your questions. The double row is going to offer less in terms of uniformity than a single row strip. You might look into getting some strips like I got. They were only $8.40 for the 4 foot strips. I would probably try to just copy a led gardener build.

I use the double row 44" F strips in 3500K mounted on 2"x.125" aluminum strips as outriggers on my Vero arrays. They are only being driven at 80 watts/ strip and they barely get warm. 3500k works perfectly as a seed to flower light.

In an area only 2 feet wide, the difference in uniformity between the double row and single row strip would be nearly negligible, I would like to believe. Can't say for sure however, never used one myself....
Its really easy to get swallowed up, obsessing the minutiae of the diy realm.
I do recall reading that, the fellas who did use double row strips found benefits in less wiring, framing and such.

yah im leaning to having it all 3500k the more i think of it, but then the stoner in me tells me to get the most thc and res as humanly possible lmao

yah thats a really tempting deal that i would strongly consider if i decide to go with 4 strips.

Thats a nice set up i was thinking i might end up doing something like that with cobs incorporated what kind of yeilds do you get and in what square footage?

Each aisle is 20" x 5' so that's about 10 ft2 under each array. On a good yielding strain and trained to maximize the canopy usually gets me almost a pound from each plant.

How many plants are you fitting in each 2x5 section?

Total of 4 in the room.
Used to run 8 in the same space and found that 4 large plants had the same yield and were easier to manage.
