Rinsing the system out with fresh water tonight so figured I would share the process some this time. Goal is to transplant tonight.
Build of the veg system is in the link in my signature. This is my 5x5 veg tent, will share progress of the flower setup as I start prepping it here in the next week or 2.
Just pulled all the fire hazard ballasts out of my T5s and replaced them with some real ones. Light output is better and they have less draw at the wall.
Wont ramble too much like I usually do. Feel free to ask all the questions.

Oh Ya I totally forgot about your bottom draining, waterfalled veg set up. Very cool to see it again.
I just bought a trash can to use for the Aero res rather than the 17g HDX tote. The pump clicks sometimes trying to over come that head pressure so I got a taller, skinnier 13G trash can so there's much more water pressure on the pump as it starts.
Should make it a lot less hard for the thing to work.
Hefty brand 13G can with a button to pop the lid open and the hinges on the shorter sides right?

Sounds about right.
It was a scramble to find something I could fit at the end that was tall enough for what I needed but small enough to be able to zip the tent still.

Quick shots of the 2 mothers and the clones.
I've super cropped the hell out of those mothers and done my best to keep them small and manageable.
Clones exploded in the last week. I kept them in the cloner waiting for my ballasts to come in. I like to let them grow 8-10" of roots before I transplant, but they took off on me. Small ones in the middle are more recent I took for a friend.

2 Strains going 6 and 6 for veg 3 and 3 for flower.
Grape stomper x gg#4
White shark/aloha white widow x northern lights #6

Ever have problems with the roots tangling?
Mother box im not worried about it, they are growing together some, but im only keeping these plants until the current clones go to flower then im taking another set and chopping them down.
In the cloner, once they reach the water and start touching, I glove up every few days and pull them apart if needed. I use the spray bars to keep them somewhat separate.
In the veg system I just check them once a week or so and make sure they arent venturing down the drains, they tend to grow towards the waterfalls which is why I put the drains on the opposite sides of the buckets.

Why don't Ya just use a small PC fan for this tent, and run the timer and wiring all to the outside? Seems crowded up! That a baby 2X2X2?

What kind of fittings did you use for each buckets drain to meet up with that 2"?
if I remember right, all the drain piping is 2".
I used the same fittings as I used in the flower setup but theres reducers on the bottoms of he buckets into the 1.5" fittings i have screwed into them. That's all in the build link in my signature.

Clone tent is a 30x18x36. That's about as crowded as it should ever get. I was supposed to transplant them over a week ago.
The fan on top just keeps air moving inside it. Low vent hole open on left and top hole opened on the right keep air exchanging inside.

I can't be sure, but I think I remember those NIBCO drain fittings come with a crush type angled washer and you ditched those and used silicone? Because I remember I found a website that sells 1.5" gaskets.
How'd you get a good waterproof seal?

Cutting them made a decent seal with the washer. I ended up pushing them through slightly undersized holes in the buckets, hitting both sides with all purpose cement (abs/pvc stuff). I filled the inside ring with aquarium silicone, tightened them down with channel locks, then put a bead of silicone around the bottom of the ring.

long sweep 90's may be a very small improvement for next build.
great stuff here! The tee-wyes are great, its very smart of you to get those instead of regular tees!

are you going to insulate the buckets and lines or is that not an issue?
for warming up the water a fish tank heater could work
