I am pulling 1 plus gram per watt with my 315W CMH. Run two both in horizontal and vertical grow, in a 4x4. This has been so since I switched to CMH. Never got even close with the California Light Works SS400 LED. Now granted I get twice the W's using the two lamps. I get better penetration with the CMH's over the LED's and tighter buds.

SS400? Clearly you mean the SS550 right?

If it is the ss550 that light will flower a 2x4 area hence why you never got good results

Im definetly not saying RIU trolls are the worst

I can say were are in the top 10% of producer processors in our state and that not everY zone crops out at 3, most don't, but some have and a GG#4 zone was the last one

No it is the SS400, heck this was even before the SS550, I got it under their test program, paid a lot less for it.
I under stand the size area, back then I was growing very few plants in a 2.5 x 3.5 grow area, two plants, well trimmed and the most I got from it was about 0.4 g/w, and the undergrowth was very thin and airy.
JMHO, and I know that LED have progressed but I am sticking with my CMH lamps, love what they do for me.

So, clone to flower with no veg gives you about an oz a plant+. Like i said, 2 week at most veg with pruning will spit 60g plants.
The only way to pull 7000g's from a 4x4 is by using HydroGrow led fool. Uh Du!
2 mo veg is a 600g plant dude

ya id say that would do it with a maxed out space plan, be around 30 grams plus a plants at 100 plants is 3000k, plants shouldn't be bigger then 12 inches. im sure good LED's woud do it too

at the greenhouse farm I worked at they had this 5000 dollar Philips unit and were intense enough for an 8 foot height over the plants(worked great for our starts)

I have plants at work right now that are 8 weeks from planting, 9.5 from cut. that are 18 inches tall with a shit ton of branching and bud sites ready to kill it. this plants structure is important because it doesn't yield well and has medium to long internode spacing but will will still get 2-3 oz off a plant with a small foot print of a square foot but 3 feet of bud sites

simply requires work, letting it grow and trimming it back to promote branching and more bud sites, oh and its batches of 150 + plants all very similar and with 8 weeks of veg
