@HashBucket already agreed that Trump* has done nothing for him personally. afterall, what's the sense in having a president that's willing to steal and cheat for himself when he won't do it for his base?

Listening to the pre-impeachment testimonies why is it that Trump is being impeached for things that every whistleblower so far has said didn't happen. I realize that all of the whistleblowers testified that they believe bribery took place, or they felt it was taking place but when pressed all admitted that they never heard/saw any direct evidence to confirm their suspicions. Meanwhile we have the EU ambassador testifying that Trump was using his personal lawyer to carry out relations with a foreign country and circumventing those whose official positions are dealing with foreign relations.
Seems to me that impeaching him for using his personal lawyer (Guiliani) to carry out foreign relations in a country where both Trump and Guiliani have investments would be a slam dunk impeachment. Maybe I am missing something, maybe the Dems want 4 more years of Trump maintaining the most divisive political figure this country has ever seen. Ds and Rs aside he makes a perfect smoke screen for the predator class.

He was impeached mainly for his blanket stonewalling of congress which is illegal since they have oversight responsibility in the government. Trump first broke the law when he illegally withheld the whistle blower complaint longer than the 2 weeks he was legally allowed to, which triggered the impeachment hearing. Another law he broke was he did not have the right to withhold the funds that the Congress and Senate passed.
The big one though was just by asking for an 'announcement' of a investigation into a political rival.
The thing I try to remember is that without this impeachemnt investigation we (the American public) would not have any clue of the scam that Trump was involved in manufacturing dirt on Biden until he dumped it if Biden wins the Democratic nomination.
He would have been able to continue to break the law behind the scenes. This was the only way to drag all this out into the open. And if they didn't pull the trigger on impeaching him, Trump would have beat them up with a government shutdown, by impeaching him, they took that off the table.
The Democrats can now simply continue to add impeachment articles if they like with continuing to investigate. Or whatever else Nancy decides to do, this is not about the Democrats breaking the law, it is about Trump breaking the law. Nancy can just do what the Republicans did to Hillary leading up to 2016 with Benghazi but she will continue to pass bi partisan legislation too just to show that the Republicans have been doing nothing but trolling us all since at the least 2008.
Biden's son seems like a real piece of shit. Kind of makes me wonder what kind of a household they were raised in. Of course kids are their own beings and there are some that no amount of good upbringing can fix...but still...makes you wonder. Is it too much to ask that our president has a household that is not an embarrassment? Obamas did it, Clintons did it, even the fcking bushes did it. Trump and Biden.

Maybe the kind that lost their mom and sister early on, living in a area with super wealthy and having a dad that wouldn't bend his principles to sell out to earn a lot of money like everyone he was surrounded by.
I can see DC sucking for a kid of a famous dad when you are middle class growing up in the 80s with kids like Kavanaugh acting like little lordlings.

Maybe, I have known a lot of people who would have said you are a sleezebag for smoking weed. I guess it depends on your definition. Has he ripped off charities? Has he actively tried to get families to fight during the holidays?
Are we going to see Joe Biden putting him in charge of middle east peace talks, while he's snap chatting with dictators to get their story strait about chopping up American journalists.
