Snapped a bottom slide brake caliper bolt off in the hole. I have the thread part but the slide part wont come out. Ive removed it to the bench and drilled a hole in it and drove a roofing bolt into it to get leverage and she still wont budge. Must be rusted in or something.. can u use an easy out on them (never used an easy out before)?

Soak it in some penetrating spray (not wd40) and leave it for a few hours. If it still don’t budge try some heat. An easy out won’t help if it’s the slide part.

Leave heat to last or you might need to replace seals if you use too much.

Hey, @beernutz & @bursto , you two will probably get a kick out of this - my "Battle-Jacket" from my mid-late teens:

DSCN2202.JPGDSCN2203.JPG

I've seen every band on those patches (some of them multiple times) & a hell of a lot more as well.......

The interesting part is on the inside of the denim & leather (hmm..... 'sounds like a good name for an album, eh?)......

DSCN2204.JPG

Inside the denim: Wurzel, Phil Campbell, Janick Gerz & Lemmy.

........and Jean Clynch - the girl that took my virginity:hump:

DSCN2205.JPG

Inside the leather jacket: Jon Lord, Ian Paice, Roger Glover & Ian Gillan. Ritchie Blackmore was an absolute CUNT & wouldn't come out of the hotel to say hello to the fans. The rest of them were absolutely delightful & funny to talk to.

My first ever live gig was Motorhead in March 1981 - 1st venue on the "No Sleep 'til Hammersmith" tour. Recording quality was poor, so nothing made it to the album, or else I'd be able to say "I'm on that album"!

Missed-out on seeing Iron Maiden with Paul D'Ianno by -> <- that much because I had an English Literature exam the next day & my mum refused to let me go & see them. Passed the fucking exam with an "A", but missed that opportunity.>:(

Edit: No, my name's not Phil Collin....

I mostly use inox because it’s multi purpose but for that you might want a dedicated penetrator like kroil or pb blaster. Can make your own as well with 50/50 atf and acetone. Just make sure it’s straight acetone not diluted nail polish remover and wear chem resistant gloves, acetone is nasty stuff

She literally said it still has lime on the fibres after manufacturing @ 55 seconds. Don’t need to soak it for 24hrs just need to dissolve and flush the residual lime out.

Edit calcium carbonate is found in pretty much every rock in some quantity so that would make sense
Oh. My. God! I just doinked that chick! Peter wasn't pumpkin eating either. Serious! Well, it was right before I woke up this morning. That's the same, right???

Edit: WTF? Where'd the hot chick in the video go, that I was replying to??? OH, F'n bullsh......

Please explain how the laws of thermodynamics would allow a container in the ground to be of lower temp than the surrounding ground temp. Lol people literally build root cellars in places that freeze to stop their shit getting too cold.
Pretty curious myself too.

Could it be similar to a Zeer Pot, only much larger, but similar effect?

Edit: Could it also have the reverse effect, if it was colder outside, than the ground was?

Nope, I don't like "Hairspray-video" bands. I prefer musicians.
Not musicians? They made it because of their live shows- no one wanted to sign them. Nikki Sixx's, band Sixx am is pretty damn good to.
Even Slash credits Motley Crue.

This is about their early life on the strip.
OOps not the song i was thinking. rocks though.

But a zeer pot (had to look it up) obeys the laws. The heat is the energy causing evaporation and is used to change the water from a liquid to a gas leaving the pot cool. Kinda like a can of compressed gas. As you release the pressure it takes heat energy to change the state leaving the can cold. Do the opposite and add the gas to the can and you’d get the opposite change and it’d heat up proportionally. #sciencebitches

they're ok

agree about the hairspray tho

if u read their book The Dirt its preety funny (also a movie on Netflix but miss's allot of the good stuff), they dressed up like hookers in redneck towns in america gettin into fights with the locals. One of the most derelict rock bands out their. Even Sharon says they were bad influence on Ozzy- and thats sayin something.

That's what I thought too and you may well be right.

What made me curious though, was if you treated the tank as the galvanized pot and the surrounding soil as the clay pot, there'd have to be a certain amount of evaporation in the ground?
