I decided to make a journal of my flower tent light build. This is not my end game build as I will eventually design my own pcb board layout, but that's a few years down the road I think. This build will likely constantly change, as the pieces are being sourced and paid for from multiple sources.

So far I have 4 each Spider Farmer SF 1000's currently in service with an AGLEX 2000. The AGLEX 2000 will be moving to a veg tent, and the lights I am building will be moving in. Pic is of current light set up.

I will be installing a metal screen with about 3" squares in the top of the tent to create a whole lot of hanging points as the lights will be kind of modular. Below is a list of strips for the project. Highly recommend cutter as a place to get strips if you want to build. Great price and amazing customer service. They will even custom build a strip for you to an extent.

12ea 2 ft strips of 40x 3k

6ea 2 ft strips of 112x 3k

I was lucky enough to get them when they were cheaper. They must have gotten somewhat popular as the price has gone up $30. I love them, just wish they had the driver with dimming leads as well as the internal pot. Actual power draw is about 95watts

Light strips should be here tomorrow. Got the last couple heatsink/frames for the higher power white strips. More of an aluminum block than a heatsink lol. Will have fans blowing across the fins as well when I’m done, don’t think I’ll have heat problems

Seriously need to get a light meter of some sort to get the best configuration. Hmmmm maybe transact or somebody rents them, time to search

Well, I had a little hiccup in the build, but thanks to Cutter's customer service, everything is actually going to be better than originally planned, it is just going to take about a week longer.
Now if I can just stop breaking taps

Hmmm, I think the Strips from Cutter are gonna be a bit stronger than the strips from Arrow lol. The heat sink size went up quite a bit as well lol

Maybe you can fit one more strip on? They'd be hanging off the edge but the actual LEDs would be safely above the heatsink.

Also, those strips from cutter are just 3000K Samsung LM301bs? Nothing special? And the other strips, are those just all 630-660nm reds on their own strips?
Why didn't you just buy pre made Samsung strips rather than having Cutter do it?

I searched everywhere, could not find good strips at this price in 3k. They were sold out almost everywhere. I was not about to buy strips from Alibaba. Somebody suggested Cutter to me, i checked them out and their strips are good quality and good price. The smaller strips are listed below.

I'll be getting the other 4 strips listed below within a week.

Cutter's excellent customer service made me a repeat customer. Without too many details, they accidentally sent me 4 Red Heavy strips instead of 2 red heavy and 2 far red. I received my order yesterday, and within 5 minutes of contacting them, they are sending me the 2 Far Red strips and i get to keep the 2 extra Red Heavy strips.

Also the strips i received from cutter are built extremely well. Comparing them to my Spider Farmer QB's and HLG's i have seen in person, they are the highest quality i have seen. Granted i have not powered them up yet so am only going off feel and looks.

Hell yeah! They are sending me the production info on the new UVB / UVC (310nm / 280nm) strips, will be getting 2 of those as well as fast as I possibly can. If I can get them fast enough I can get them on my current grows end of cycle!!!

Long way to go, but since the drivers are a week or so out, I have the time, and I don’t want to get too into the wiring till I have every piece. Still waiting on 6 1ft strips, 2 ea of all far red, 2 ea of 280nm, 310nm, and 2 each of 365nm, 385nm.

The black washers are only temp as I ran out of white

Finally!!!! The drivers finally got here. Yes they got here when the company said they would, I’m just impatient. Just got the 6 strips of 3k on two heat sinks wires up for testing, final wiring will be a lot cleaner. Still have a lot of work to do, but damn these are bright. Camera dimmed them pretty good. Each set of 3 I have running at 120watts, max would be 150. Back to work!
