Totally agree. And they do seem a bit susceptible to a lot of sprays. Unlike spider mites etc!
FKN MITESSS. bunning do a not bad fungas an miticide powder but seems heavy on the sulfar though leaves a whitish residue on the plants. Thought i may of had brd mites few hits of neem then followed up with a good dose of yates mancozeb an an new growth is 80% back to normal now.. still runnin a mixture of neem spray then do a manzo spray few days later.. Might look into this dipel aswell if yas reckon its good to spray all threw flowerin.

Day before flip, after prune & defol

View attachment 4463443

Now 13 days after flip. Normally I’d be able to get to start of week 3 before last defol. Think I’ll be having to do that soonish.

Very nice ozy!
Manifolding isn’t probably the only thing I haven’t tried.
How old were they in the 1st pic, 1 day before flipping?
Do you find the extra time manifolding beneficial as opposed to the same veg time when scrogging?

Thanks.
They were 4 weeks old from planting out - clones, bit more difficult to manifold than from seed, although faster.
The biggest difference I find between the two is with the manifold they take up more nutes with thicker branching, flowers are larger, just not as many. I only did a 4 way manifold with a plant per sqft.

If it was more a Sativa dom then I’d scrog with less plants in the same area, this ones about a 2x from flip to bud set.

Spider mites are my worst fear haha. I got them about 4 years ago and every time I thought I had them exterminated. They’d come back twice as hard!
I ended up culling my perpetual grow, bleach cleaning EVERYTHING!
And using that opportunity to go for a holiday. (Wasn’t all bad I suppose!?)

I’m not too great with the insecticide side of things but I’m pretty sure the best success with mites is when you use completely different sprays and cycle through them as they build a quick resistance.
I remember hearing to use an insecticide then a pesticide?

Give praise where praise is due I say
Yea makes sense.
4 colas per sqft is roughly the spacing I’d use when scrogging. I’ve grown a lot in dwc and always looking at the roots. I found the plants with explosive white root growth generally have decent main stalks. And grow/yield bigger.
I’m a strong believer of big roots = big buds.

I wonder how outdoors would go with an 8 cola manifold!?

There’s also a discount code for 10% and I’ll probably buy my own drivers separate
Do u even know what chips are on those boards or are u just sold because they look like quantum boards?

Agree on the roots and end result. they’ve got a white root floor mat about an inch and a half thick. I haven’t been able to lift plants individually for a while now, and they’re in 10inch net pots.

Manifolding outdoors is great if you want to keep em short, and manageable. Be able to do a 16 way and have enough veg time easy.

Lol I’ve already mentioned they’re top binned nichia’s. I’m sold on them because of the multiple threads Over on the led section and the test data that’s been provided for them. Also they hardly look like qb’s, they’re physically bigger for starters and offer uv which qbs don’t as yet.

It’s great being able to inspect the roots!

The thing I liked about mainlining (from what I’ve seen) is you have sog quality single colas but more of them on one plant so less plant count needed. And no scrog net to get in the way.

Do you have any pics of previous mainlined grows close to harvest ozy?

Unfortunately no pics of previous indoor grows, never really thought of taking them until posting here not long after starting this one. Probably got some old film photos of outdoor ones from yonks ago around somewhere but they have me and the tribe faces in them...so no posting them :)

More so if you flip earlier, and prune lowers during stretch like sog sometimes if you get lower side branching. Another plus of doing it the way I did this time is you can create a nice open space under the canopy for air circulation and because of the thick structure / base you don’t always have to trellis for support.

That's plenty if u grow outside and know what your doing
is it? It might be plenty of buds if you can grow outside but then u cannot have clones..you cannot even start 20 beans to keep 4. Even in my 4 x 4 flower tent i run more than 4 to cut down on veg time...

Oh top bin nichia? Yeah u mentioned that’s what u thought it was.

So where’s the data? Eff? Lumens per watt? PPD output?

Nothing on their site
