2'x2' growspace - LED choice

Hi all,
I'm planning a brand new growth in a 2x2 tent for a cheap 1-plant setup. I am struggling a bit with LEDs, since I'm not very familiar with the differences between lamps.

I guess I'm no more than 100$ for the lighting and i want to keep the energy consumption as low as I can.
In this price range the only 2 decent i could find in my country (except the amazon crap) are a Viparspectra v300 300W and a 1xCOB 200w Cree (the cxb3070, not the 3590).
Assuming that the COB provides a better spectrum and has a better efficiency, i would like to go for that one, except i have one major concern:
Will the single COB setup provide enough coverage even for a single plant? Is there any reason why i should consider the VS or something else?

Thanks!

You should get the cob, then just get another one a few months down the line if it isn't enough light. My opinion, but the choice is down to you. Not dissing mars or any other leds, just saying those cobs are decent, don't take up much room and plants love them.

In my 2x2 I use a qb288 overdriven with a HLG 320 2800mA driver. That's actually driving 2 qb288s in 2 separate 2x2 spaces.

Im looking even now at the 260w r spec. Im trying to get an idea of how many grams people are pulling off theirs...average yield?
i just put up a pic in the cannarado thread of my single plant LST/SCROG flowered under a 300v2 non r spec. i dont wanna thread jack and post it here again but it will give you an idea of whats possible

Thank you, very nice grow! That's a beautiful plant! How much did it weigh out to?

Don't fall for the trap of thinking doubling your light will double your yield. Canopy size is a limiting factor. Pushing too much light will cause light stress
You would have to dim the 260w kit considerably and depending on the driver may not be able to dim enough for veg.

One benefit of running two boards would be running softer will allow you to be closer without causing light stress.

GPW goes down as wattage goes up, GPSF goes up with wattage to a degree.
People pulling the highest GPW are often running soft and low to get the same intensity at canopy which results in the same yield from less watts, giving high GPW.

If your 2x2 is low in height then I would suggest getting two boards ran on the same driver one would be, that buys you valuable headroom.

Of course we are limited by our canopy size, if i go the 260 r spec it would be to replace my ts2000 mars hydro in my 3x3 im beginning flower in now. My canopy has a solid cover of 2x3 of that space right now. Ultimately ill be buying multiple lights. Im just wondering what this light will put into the jar. With my past grows watts equal yield as long as the space is filled. That formula was easy to predict which light for what space without under doing it. That's the problem i have with the mars ts2000, the ad space was 3x3 but in truth it only hits 2x3 really well even at 14 inches which it should hang closer to 12. It also draws 310w from the wall. Im sold on the rspec for all my grows, the 2x2 and the 3x3. Its just a matter now if they are rated correctly for the space needing covered and the right intensity/wattage to get my yields. ?
