Great Lakes Genetics ?

There is no doubt that whomever is able to ship seeds to arrive within a week who also takes credit cards and has a real, true selection of quality genetics will become the Amazon of seed sales.

Cause although i get what the old timers are saying, f that dudes, this isn't a mail order world or even a customer service world either. Its an online send me what i want fast world now.

And not specific to GLG, who does have a good rep, but generally speaking the service levels are pretty weak in comparison to all above board businesses.

Its a pure profit business of reselling for a profit. As usual we will have to wait for our own archaic USA elders to die off so we can legalize federally and be done with the gray market b.s.

I cannot believe how weak the options are for ordering quality seeds easily and getting them fast. Someone with a ton of money could make a fortune prepping for what it to come.

With legal weed comes a rush to the bottom. IMO, the longer it takes for a Walmart canna type take over...the better.
I understand this sentiment but what we need is legality, not because a big box can do better but for availability. I dont need to buy from Walmart but if they sell at walmart that means its fully legal and i can buy quality in a competitive AND legal market.

You can buy wine at Walmart, but likely would go to a specialty store for the best stuff. Thats my vision for cannabis too.

Im an old timer. I remember 30 years ago. Mail order to Holland. Lol think that system has improved? Not much based upon this and other threads.

Having it take a long time doesnt make it better, lol. The current system for getting seeds SUCKS.

Pick your seedbank....it SUCKS for service. All of them. Lol shill i guess maybe ita a big word for you or something as it doesnt apply here.

Gotta love sales! Customers show the greatest of civility in times of distress.

To think someone would have to wait a few weeks without constant cuddling.

Could you imagine looking on a website, picking some strains not knowing if they're in stock, putting cash in an envelope with picks written down, putting an air stamp on the letter sending it to Europe, then after month or so later you either got beans, green tape or nada?

But yeah no bash a hard working person juggling several things at once...

We have different definitions of service. I order from glg, I get seeds and great freebies. I have emailed him before and gotten a full nice email answer. I have never had a single issue. Fast mail processing is low on my list, I can get it if it’s higher on yours, but saying it sucks? Really? Go call Comcast.

Also when credit cards come online and it’s not a process to match payments with orders then I expect things to speed up. Website..cc..packing and mail slip auto print..order picked and mailed. Now it’s order, mail payment..pickup payment, open payments, count payments, match to online order, print packing and mail slip, pick order, mail. Then because some people flake out you have to make sure your inventory is right. I imagine the process is super manual because of the cash.

Yeah, deleted. Not wasting time on this. Bad Dawg addressed the delay but its now buried in the pages of bickering and I don't want argue in his thread. For now, money orders are the safest bet. I'll never use my card with a foreign processor again.

And the few reputable banks that have alternative payments will remain as long as folks keep quiet about it on the boards.
JBC, DCSE, GLG...all solid banks with solid genetics, but the GLG promos have gained a LOT of attention and with that comes hundreds more orders to process by hand.

Theres a couple other banks with good genetics too and if you spend 5 bills you might even get a free tootsie roll or pack of papers, ;)

What you aren't acknowledging is that these aren't tomato seeds. They are cannabis seeds, and because they are linked to "drug" use, banks won't touch any business that sells them. So no company openly selling seeds can process credit cards.

Those that do are breaking the law by using third party proxies, and very often have the card services yanked out from under them as soon as a complaint is lodged.

It is a cash business and will remain that until the feds change the banking regs. If you deal with a seed company taking credit cards, it is a criminal operation. Period. Cash creates issues. It takes time and special handling.

Even using the post office raises questions and potential problems.

It is also against a lot of state laws. For example, MA, while rec legal, has no seed sale license available. It is technically illegal to sell seeds to rec users. So companies keep a low profile if they want to stick around.

In short, lighten up Frances. Ebay sells rare bird seeds. Go ahead and order some.

You just misunderstand me thats all. What you say is fine, your wxperiwnce3has been very good. It could be even better, and you list the ways. So im saying the same thing, except i dont consider the mom ans pop thing good except for the mom and pop. If he didnt have to concern himself about legality, he could hire a full staff and do even better. That would be a good thing imo

So you too say the same thing as me...its not legal so the system sucks.

I say that specifically, that is my point....lack of legality makes this a rickety crap part of the business where getting seeds in a few weeks and mailing cash is good? Heck no.

dont know why you guys dont get my point..
Ordering seeds sucks. Qed. Glg is better than most, but they have exactly the issues you specify. Like it as it is now? Cool keep it sxxxxx???

Everyone who mistakenly thinks this is about patience, is wrong. This is about being lied to.

Try this, on your next order, send in your tracking number, with a message that you sent the money. Wait 10 days, then actually send the money to him. If GLG contacts you in the meantime, to ask what's going on, just ignore it.

Let me know how well that goes over.

It's not relevant, but it you want to know it was:
Useful's Black Lime Special Reserve F4
Bodhi's Temple of Apollo
Bodhi's Soar

The same thing I was going to order at JBC, but decided to go with GLG, because my last 2 orders were with JBC

I hesitated to ask this before, because sometimes its better to let things go, but as it's still chugging along I'll ask:

Did the email you got re shipping not say the order had been scheduled for shipment (in the body of the email)? Curious if perhaps the language has changed.

I'm patiently awaiting my GLG order(s)...
Bodhi lines,
Axis
Eternal Sunshine
Mango Lotus (freebie)
Mango HP (freebie)
Cryptic Labs,
Item #9
Oaxacan Gold (freebie).
The Cryptic Labs order was a last mintute choice, just to score the freebie. My girlfriend wasn't enthused about me wanting to drop another $100 so soon, but I showed her the freebie and her eyebrough raised as she said "Ok! Get it!"
So, thanks to her.
I wonder what majick BadDawg will suprise me with!

from my perspective its kinda relevant. the reason i inquired, i had the thought that you grabbed some of the more limited beans that were available & seeing your impatience you were in the mindset of them not being available anymore. i know you have previously mentioned we should leave this alone so i will, sorry for opening wounds.
