Alright so can you even get 600g from a 4x4 cause thats what a friend said my aim should be?

Is your friend getting 600 grams? Your aim should be a harvest of healthy plants. If you're a new grower there are more important things to be worrying about than the maximum yield you can get out of a 4 x 4. For now you should be focused on growing healthy plants start to finish.
That is strain and grower dependent. You can easily pull a pound out of a 4 x 4 with a 600 watt HPS but it is possible to pull much more. But you're getting ahead of yourself. Finish this harvest, see what you get, and work on improving your grow next time. These are some OG Kush plants I grew a couple years ago. They're in 3 liter pots. If I crammed my tent full with plants like these I would get much more than the 600 grams you seem concerned about. These ones got away from me in those small pots which is why they yellowed so much. They were just some extra plants I tossed in the corner of the tent and neglected. They still yielded pretty good.

Your friend seems pretty optomistic. IMO, beginners should be very happy with anything above half a gram per watt.

You can get over 1k grams in a 4x4. That’s not it.... but it is possible.

BTW, I've been growing for 2 years and I would be extremely happy to get 1g/watt (I'm running 600W COB LED).

Cheap Amazon COB LED to be precise. I'm planning on upgrading to an HLG-550 Quantum Board setup at some point but cash flow has been tight.
