It's not even giving the direct light to the canopy area, can you return it? Or trim your plant into a circle of friends and drop the bulb in the middle.
You risk running out of room in veg before seeing any good buds since they'll be looking for the light.

Hey. No can’t return it. And the light was recommended by a friend, for veg stage, knowing that my tent is 40*40*120.
how can I improve it with what I’ve got?

Sell it online and get a grow light. You seem to be set on 6500k but I'd say you can get better results with a more direct ligting of let's say 5000k and up for the same price.

If you bought it on Amazon like the pic you posted suggests, then yes, you can. Even without packaging they'll take it back. Super simple to return too.
Invest in even a cheap purple light and you'll get better results than you will with that light.
Or, you can just run it and see what happens. I'm guessing you'll upgrade it sooner or later though.

Thanks brother! First time grow for me. Did lots of research and luckily I was born with a green thumb which def helps. This is definitely an amazing experience. Having lots of fun and learning a lot.

I got my lights for 25 pounds, and gonna have to get new lights for flowering.

Check out the light I shared the link for. It’s more expensive, but it has both MH and HPS bulb. You won’t need to buy another light after this. And the dimmable ballast is nice to have. Give it a look. So far it’s working well over here!

What is your medium? Soil? Coco? It makes a difference.
Rule of thumb: No nutes for the first week...depending on your medium. Some have nutes built in, and you don't want to make the medium too hot.

I’m growing in coco, mixed with 10% soil compost. I’m going to start mixing canna nutrients in a couple of days.
