If it is a knockoff, they don't know how to count very well.

The Spider Farmer 4000 has 1212 diodes

This AR4000 only has 872 diodes.
872 diodes is equivalent to the Spider Farmer 1000 (x4) which has 218 diodes x 4 boards = 872diodes.
Wonder the L/rating on a SF?
L/50, B/50? If that were the case as I suspect then itd deffinetly not worth even the lower price.. same goes with any light not following the basic expected (industry standard) degradation rates based on desighn. Even if not posted because not necessary rn unless Energy Star discounts apply & totally Fugazee. Still important to not make them to deprecate x2 as fast. Sometimes its as simple as a heat sink, others need active even when they think they dont because they compared to a manufactured product running hot. Thinking if that ir gun reading is close im good.
Reality is we need about 50• less then many are getting ontop of their fixtures to last.
Also a sealed diode enclosure. Remote or non direct mounted drivers & last but not least, farther diode spacing coupled with top-bin HE diodes mounted on a thick pcb (some copper under the diode) & possible a thermal interface. Why not? Trowel that shit on n screw down. Thats just a few examples.

Well 16 sq ft to 25 is 63% more space
Yup, thats why i crank her to 1100w to be safe. Gets me a real similar amount of light per square foot as a single end bulb in a 4x4 and for the extra 100w i should be getting about 50% more yield. Or "yield potential" i should say.

Bet i could grow clover or grass in a 10x10 with a single 1000w lol. Would have to devise some sort of complex light mover though.
Heres a twister. Heath Robinsons flooded tube vertical. 600w HPS, 86 plants yielding 46 oz at 8 weeks. It was a vertical setup. Funny thing is the grow area measured 4ft diameter. Distance from pot top on bottom row, to pot top on top row was 32". Plants looked like they finished around 14 inches.

Space/area changed dynamically, as the plants grew up and in towards the bare bulb.. That guy was always trying new things and was a true master.

Pity images were lost during rollitup migrations, but you can still see them https://www.wietforum.nl/topic/53631-heaths-flooded-tube-vertical/
