how do you suggest i solve it? its my first grow so its been a little rough. I really want to take the appropriate measures now so any problems don't get worseStress is involved here.
Foxtailing and high N looks to be in there as part of it....
do you think that the foxtailing is 100% stress induced? or do you think it may have something to do with the purp genetics?Stress is involved here.

did your plants look like mine in the early stages of foxtailing?Excessive heat....light....N

Awesome smoke fortunately.

also do you think i should harvest now, or relatively soon, to make sure the problems dont get worse?

It's not hot at all in the grow space. I'm going to cut back on the nutrients to help with the N toxicity. But i measured today and the lights are 14 inches away. They are 135 true-watt LEDs. Is this too much light? If so, are there any other signs of light stress I could look for to confirm that light is causing this issue?
@Dr. Who , would love to get your thoughts here as well
One thing to remember .... plants run on their “ own “ schedule not a calendar.@Dr. Who thank you, i really appreciate your advice. I am using the Fox Farms trio, and I think i went a little overboard during the grow stage and overfertilized with the N-heavy nutrient solution. My next grow, I'm thinking ill get some nutrients from botanicare.
As its the last two weeks of my current grow, i will only water twice more (on 4/27 and 5/2). They dont drink that much and it takes around 5 days to dry up. I will be watering with water and hydrogen peroxide (H202 for extra oxygen) for the next watering. After that, I will water with 10mL Fox Farms Tiger Bloom for the last watering. I've decided to skip the flush as i care more about yield and trichs than flavor or smoothness. I plan to harvest on 5/8. I will likely start a 24 to 48 hour "lights out" dark period on 5/6 or 5/7
I plan to dry from 5/9 to 5/16. I graduate on the 18th so I will be moving out by then and will need to put everything in jars and start curing then.
Thank you for your advice and taking the time to reply! Do you think the extra Oxygen in the water wouldn’t help the plants be healthier? I just found out that I could use it with plants and so have only watered with H202 once before. I won’t feed any nutrients until harvest. Wouldn’t flushing also be good since it’ll get rid of salts and nutes in the soil? One thing to remember .... plants run on their “ own “ schedule not a calendar.
There is ZERO REASON to run hydrogen peroxide in water at this point. The plant is telling you ( less drinking ) it is almost time.
IMO drop to plain water , since you overloaded it with Nutes. Left plant try to burn thru excess in its final weeks. No flushing , no adding anything. That plant is hyper loaded with nitro ( dark shiny leaf ) and it needs to excise it.
one “ trick “ to push finish is to drop light cycle to 10/14 during final week ( s) to trick plant into thinking shorter days are here and it needs to complete blooming. I think your plant will be pretty “ green “ tasty at end but you will be able to compensate with a long / slow / steady cure for it to break down chlorophyll at end. FF trio is notoriously concentrated which in turn compels you to start at about a 1/4 strength. They also salt up mediums very quickly.
Are foxtails the least desired simply for aesthetic purposes or do they compromise yield as well?Common at times with Sativa strains , regardless of strain dominance. Genetics often push this trait forward. Your noticeable heavy nitrogen excess causes this too. Temps are also a common start for this.
calyx “ stacks “ on top of each other to cool Themselves. You will also notice repeating growth of new pistils.
Called “ finger buds “ in extreme cases often cosmetic in genetics. Long stacked calyx foxtails are the least desired.
Yours seem related to the nitrogen excess that has amplified this trait.
