Use GH flora trio (3 part) and CaliMagic.
Yeah that's what I started with and I can't complain. My first few harvests were with it and I slowly started adding addatives my store told me to try. I liked them and switched to the full line. It went so smoothly back then lol.Use GH flora trio (3 part) and CaliMagic.
the other thing to keep an eye on is your drip ring. i have a feeling the tiny holes are going to get clogged up with organic stuff. You are 100% right though this food is a big part of it, it seems more prone to errors
Yeah that's one of my big concerns right now, and bits of root. I don't see much of a build up but roots do clog it. I dont understand why and where are roots falling off but I think its the roots that couldn't heal from root rot.the other thing to keep an eye on is your drip ring. i have a feeling the tiny holes are going to get clogged up with organic stuff.
if i had to guess, it's the roots in the upper res.Yeah that's one of my big concerns right now, and bits of root. I don't see much of a build up but roots do clog it. I dont understand why and where are roots falling off but I think its the roots that couldn't heal from root rot.
Alright I'll try to treat it a few times to to to get rid of that crap. It's pretty stubborn! I've been flushing it with water every water change trying to get all the bits of dying crap out but I'm flying blind. I just gotta do it religiously till I feel like its 100% recovered.if i had to guess, it's the roots in the upper res.
now that you are going the sterile route, i would mix up one gallon of peroxide/water. take your top res into the bath tub and slowly pour that gallon thru the whole thing. then mix up a batch of uc roots/water. do the same exact thing.
in the mean time, sterilize your lower res.
then keep on trucking. i wouldn't switch to bloom yet until you get this sorted out. but i also wouldnt trash it either.
hard to say. guess you have to make that call.Think the plant can handle a switch?
if anything, find a container large enough and try it Hempy style. perlite or perlite/vermiculite. hydro to hydro would be better than hydro to soil.I'll stick to peroxide and chlorine for a few days.
Its 22 inch. Too close?this plant looks tired
i think she has too much light
pretty common problem for many growers
how far your led is from canopy
veg stage dont require much lumens
that 2nd pic of the dead roots is a major issue. supposedly enzymes will eat dead stuff. that might be something to try. but i think the peroxide/uc roots will kill them?I got my second waterfarm today and modified it. Better no? That made a huge difference I found last time. I still want to put an airline hole behind the big hole there. I also cleaned the dripper and found some roots. This is what keeps rotting in there dammit.
Oh and my new drip ring... GH quality control? 2 in a row with something wrong.
That makes sense. All the way up it goes thanks man.when your plant is sick this way always put lamp to the ceiling
i saw on the previous pic you had some space at the top
put it at the max height
keep your ec around 1.4 ms and ph 5.6 and it will be fine for sure
h2o2 is good
You need to be using a damn mesh filter on every single pump you use that's submersible. That's one huge advantage to then over in line. Only way is those in-line filters and if roots get into those, it clogs the Shit out of it.I got my second waterfarm today and modified it. Better no? That made a huge difference I found last time. he might be right about that but your root system being bombarded with rot is your main issue. like i told you before, when my plnats are that size in my WF's , the bottom res is a solid cube of roots. That makes sense. All the way up it goes thanks man.
Ya... Don't go any higher than that. PPFD falls off immensely the further away you go due to the inverse square law. That makes sense. All the way up it goes thanks man.
It would be hard to drill holes in it with the plant in there. I try to flush out everything I can every water change but those tiny holes are not helping. I think I have drainage issues really. Sediment from me not washing the hydroton properly and the dripping issues I had created a mess of gunk on the bottom and roots stayed and grew in the top part only.that 2nd pic of the dead roots is a major issue. supposedly enzymes will eat dead stuff. that might be something to try. but i think the peroxide/uc roots will kill them?
here's a thought: drill a few extra holes in the top res. take the top res to the bath tub again and flood it with lukewarm water for 10 to 20 minutes and see if you can get alot of that dead crap to flush out.
I can put these inside the bulkheads. Should I?You need to be using a damn mesh filter on every single pump you use that's submersible. That's one huge advantage to then over in line. Only way is those in-line filters and if roots get into those, it clogs the Shit out of it.
