Morning!

I have a SpiderFarmer S1000, 1000w Toly's blurple from Amazon, and a 600w LikeSuns blurple from Amazon also (I know not actual W from the wall)

I started with the blurple because I'm completely new to growing, and added the S1000 once I found this forum and started reading any and everything.

Am I better off to keep what I have, or get rid of the garbage and add another S1000?

My tent is bright as shit, definitely need shades when it's open. I currently have 2 plants going in there, it's my first time so I wanted to make sure I was able to monitor issues.

I've definitely learnt a TON since starting, so going forward, better quality, more yield etc.

IMHO - use what you have.
While growing, as you see what you need make plans. Don't forget that bigger better lights need bigger better fans, need better this bigger that....

For me:
First Grow - Microcab and a "300w" burple - whole grow
Now - 4x4x80, 2 more burples (given to me), and a bigger dimmable (less burple) "1200w" (263 at wall).

Next grow, DIY COB (600 - 800W), maybe a DWC bucket, "1200w" light goes into a dedicated veg tent. --- you get the idea.

Enjoy your trip down the rabbit hole! :bigjoint:

If I were in your situation I would just get another SpiderFarmer and either sell the other lights locally or put them on eBay. That way you will at least have a more even spread of the same type of light across the whole canopy.

I think I misunderstood your intent. It sounds more like you're where I'm at - figuring out how I'll even out my mismatched lighting array.
I agree with TFC - get anoth SF to even your light.

One caveat: keep one old light to start a veg room.

It's always nice to have a spare on hand to help annother new grower get started, too.
Combining that sentence with your signature quote I see this: "First one's free kid!" :D

My first light was given to me by a friend.
One of the more satisfying things about my first grow was smoking a bowl of it with him, and sending him home with a jar of flower that he helped grow. I can't wait till my upgrade path leaves me with enough extra to help another grower get their start.

@I L0VE W33D - Hope that helps!
