Switch lights during flower?

I just bought a Spider Farmer S2000, (currently running an S1000 and 2 shit blurples from Amazon) in a 4x4.

My lady is a week, maybe two tops- from chopping. Should I still hang the new light now because I'm drooling over it, or once she's done & with the next seed?

in my actual grow i switched from a 250 hps to a 170w led on the 25 day of flowering and after 2 weeks of using new lights everything is going fine

I don't foresee an issue adding more light, but this being my first time and this close to chopping with no problems I really don't want to fuck it up

Personally, that late in flower, I'd hold off installing the new light until the flower area is empty of plants and has been cleaned thoroughly.

In my case things like that are a bit more difficult as I grow perpetual, so I've always got plants in my flower tents. I harvest every five weeks. Even still, after two harvests (10 weeks), I pull out the still-flowering plants, put them in an unused room in my basement at lights off, and scrub the entire tent, take the base and wash it off, clean the glass of the air cooled hoods, switch out bulbs if its time and hand wash my carbon filter pre-filters, then relocate the plants back in.

I don't like doing unnecessary work in the middle of a run if I can help it, especially that close to finishing.

I fully intend to clean, wipe down everything before going starting my next one.

I have a separate tent I started out with that's much smaller that I intend to use for drying, so I can move the plant there.
I know I only have a week or two left, but if my popcorn buds happen to need longer, won't the extra light help with density?

The extra light will help with bud density, yes.

I am not informing you that it's a bad idea, to the contrary actually... I'm just saying that personally, I'd hold off. I keep records of each harvest, so throwing a new light in mid-grow would throw off the results between this grow and the next one in a comparison sense.

I'm going to heed your advice because I asked and you without a doubt know more than I do.
I have a feeling my next one will be insanely better both quality and quantity wise.
I started with 1 shitty blurple, added the 2nd, and then my S1000 about 2 weeks into flower.
I found this forum after starting, and the sheer amount of advice is astounding. Barely scratched the surface it's hard to keep it all in.
