Flushing imo is flooding the roots with water trying to get minerals out the buds which is pointless. Those minerals are stored during its flowering cycle - so to avoid shit weed don’t over feed.

If the plant eats its leave to keep the buds alive. The leaves die and the buds would have the same amount of elements in it in order to be healthy? Because in this theory, logically the buds are staying alive by eating the leaves. So what does the lack of nitrogen in a dead leaf have to do with a bud that still have the nitrogen.

And just so i'm clear as well i'm not trying to make a case for either flushing or not flushing. I'm simply looking for answers. And again, the only real test I can find, is the one by RX green technologies. Which shows no difference in flush vs no flush.

That’s why left it open ended for I don’t know if it makes it smoother.

Logically there is no difference in where the nitrogen comes from to feed the buds. But I don’t know what processes go on during that metabolism. Perhaps its easier to convert it than drawing it from the roots. I don’t know. Plants are complex things. As I’m sure you’re aware of. You don’t know until you know, you know?

No bother - I see what you’re getting at as there is a common myth surrounding flushed buds.

Makes a little sense if you over feed then flush for a long time so the plant packs on weight without too much food. But feelingly correctly and flushing would show less of an improvement. Could this be where they went wrong and people swear by ‘flushing improved the smoke’? When they simply just over fed?
