Is neem oil safe?

You don't want to be smoking the stuff, so it's a bad idea to spray the plant in mid to late flower, but in early flower and all through veg everything will be fine.

Yes. It'll be completely fine if you mist it now. Make sure to follow directions on the label, especially with mixing ratios if the Neem oil is concentrated.
It says ready to spray but I've learned quick in this first grow to never start out full strength I will always use less to start

Wise idea. Another good idea is to test on a part of a single branch first, leave it for a full day, and observe how the plant reacted. If it's too strong, you'll know it, and you can reduce the ratio and try on another small area.

When you're happy with how the plant parts responded, you can do the entire plant.

Only during vegetative state. No prob ever, wi residual taste. That only happens when ya spray that nasty stuff during budding phase. I use cold pressed neem oil for all my vegging plants religiously.. I outdoor mostly though.

@Op What are you using it for?
I seem to have an issue with gnats and I have seen recommendations of this Neem oil and also mosquito dunks. I went with the dunks because they seemed safer but idk.

In general neem oil is fairly safe, but I've heard that you should lay off it during the last ~3 weeks of flowering.

Problem with pesiticides is how often do you smoke your nuts or vegetables? Same problem with Nova 40W and Eagle 20 that even DOW released s statement saying don't use it on products like Cannnabis that will be combusted as it turns into hydrogen cyanide.

So while residue might be safe for products that you ingest it might be bad for products that you'll smoke.

Or the claim "safe until harvest" typically applies to vegetables and such that you'll be washing off not smoking in 2 weeks.

I spray neem weekly in veg but once the plant starts flowering I stop. Just from the smell of neem I can only imagine what buds spray with it might taste like and being an oil it's not going away once it's on the buds. I won't spray any product with oils in it once the plant starts flowering. That's where things like citric acid come into play if you get mites mid flower.
