Biggest idiot in the pot haters world

I live in Illinios, in the spring the stink of lime on the soybean fields is enough to send me into fits of coughing. Maybe the farmers should be banned from using lime. Corn fields smell really bad too. Especially in the hot summer when it rains, you can't avoid the stench of wet corn. Maybe we should make a ban on growing corn too?

If your neighbor wants to grow weed on their own property, it's not really your business. You own your home, that is your buisness, if you don't like what your neighbors are growing you could always move out to the fresh country air. I recommend Illinois, where the stink of lime and corn is 6 months out of the year. I'd much prefer the smell of marijuana plants that the stink in the air right now.

Lets not forget what all that bean and corn dust does to people with allergies or asthma. I don't see the farmers paying the medical bills of those people.

Lots of things have a stong smell, trying to say it's only pot is stupid.

exactly... mind your own business; not your neighbors... if that is all you have to do then i wish some problems in your life, cause it obviously is just too damn boring....

before you buy a house you should find out if your neighbor raises chickens. :)
True, but what if they move in AFTER you bought your house? (good luck selling it to get the hell away from the chicken guy....)

As far as I know the farmers aren't growing crops in the city where the majority of residential neighborhoods are. They are out in rural country area...... rural areas are zoned for growing crops... buy a home there and you live with the smell.... city & residential neighborhoods are NOT zoned for such crops and I suspect any strong odor that a majority felt was offensive would fall under the nuisance laws (but I'm not a lawyer so I can't say for certain).

If you are in the city and smelling the crops from out in the rural areas then my guess is that the city is in close proximity and the farmers were likely there first. Perhaps the city planners should have planned better and built a little farther away.

This debate is NOT about farmers growing corn out in rural areas... this is about plunking down a few hundred thousand dollars in a RESIDENTIAL neighborhood ... then having some moron move in next door and stink up the neighborhood with his chickens... mj crop... or any other thing they are doing that is stinking up the neighborhood.

It is my business when their growing produces an odor that permeates the neighborhood for months on end. It's that attitude of "fuck you, I'm going to grow here and you can all fuck off if you don't like it" that disgusts me. Have some fucking courtesy for your neighbors.... is that really asking too much? Whatever... you go right ahead and be rude to your neighbors if you like.... I have more consideration for mine.

Please show me in my posts where I said only mj produced a strong smell. Thanks though... I always appreciate being called stupid for something I never said

Thank you for getting my point :D

I would like to reiterate that I'm not not not supporting that idiot who put up signs in his yard.... clearly the guy is just too stupid to figure out a better way to handle the situation.

The way I see it is... the guy (Alan) is legal to grow in his State.... I don't think there is any height restriction on plants so tough titties if it grows taller then a fence. HOWEVER... if the odor is strong and wafting through the neighborhood then Alan should be respectful and put up a greenhouse with carbon filters to contain/control the odor. I don't see how a greenhouse would be any more conspicuous then a bunch of plants visible over the top of the fence.

It's sad that a little common courtesy on both sides wasn't used.... no wonder California is so fucking over-regulated...... two knuckleheads can't even behave appropriately on their own in a situation that should be a no-brainer.

:peace:

hahaha nah didnt think that florida... you are a boss ;)

you know your stuff :D AIGHT ! we need more hc smokers with brains like you ^^ :peace::peace::peace::peace:

There is a creek behind my house, on the other side is a field. Right between 2 residential neighborhoods. I guess you've never been to small town farming america before so you can't grasp what I'm trying to explain. You can be in the dead center of town and corn husks are flying everywhere. You can smell the smell of lime and wet corn in town. You don't have to go looking for it, you just walk outside and there it is. If you have your windows open in the spring your house gets full of dust from plowing, even in town. It's something we have to live with because what a farmer does in his field is his business. Just like if weed were legal and I wanted to grow it in my backyard, that is my business.

Neighbors do things all the time that lower other peoples property values, I dare say legal growing of weed won't make that big of a difference. My neighbors tree roots are always in our sewer line under the street, it has costs me thousands of dollars, yet the tree is still there. My other neighbors tree hangs over our driveway and birds sit in it and shit all over our car, but it's their tree, not mine, so I can't do anything about it. Weed becomes legal, I'll have a yard full and it'll be there turn to suck it up. I have an advance allergy to Oak pollen, and our neighborhood is full of Oak trees, and guess what I just have to deal with it.

florida... the man is following the law as laid out by his local government... if there was something in there that said he could have a huge outdoor pot garden, but cant have it leak any odor, then yes he would be in the wrong.. but they dont, because it poses no threat to anyone except the pricks on their high horses that say "pot stinks, cause i dont smoke it".... thats just like the morons that complain about their beloved "property values" because of the way an eccentric neighbor decides to decorate their house that they also paid the same high price for... i say fuck em, let em bitch and moan, cause these people always have something to say and some cause to bleed their hearts for....

"I know from direct experience that McFarlane is a complete whackjob and a thoroughly unpleasant excuse for a human being.

However, I also think that this soccer dad is a complete idiot if he thinks his kids can get a "contact high" from an uncultivated pot plant.

So, I guess I don't really have any sympathy for either of the players in this case.
"

"Let me tell you about Gardea.

I used to live around the corner. one year after christmas, my parents had a ton of wraping paper to dispose of. Well being the 12 year old kid I was I toseed it into the fireplace.

Gardea comes banging on my door and tells me the smoke from wraping paper is stinking up his house. I said sorry, i will let it burn out, i didnt know it was a problem buring paper in the fireplace. he cussed out my parents and leaves all pissed off.

10 minutes later the fire department comes to the house. They informed my parents that Gardea called them and told then that I was burning plastic.

They seen that it was wraping paper and left.

My point is the guy is a bum with nothing better to do. My mom is one back yard away form the "pot farm" and sees the plaints grow over the fence ever year for 10 years, and it has never been a problem!"
