At least two weeks. Snip a small sugarleaf off and look at it under a magnifying glass or microscope. Check for Milky/Amber

Always check calyx for trich maturity. Leaves mature way faster.

Ive checked the sugar leaves and the calyx for the trichome maturity and my sugar leaves do have more amber color but not much then in the calyx there is very very light amber color here and there i just feel it isnt enough for harvest yet but most of the trichs are milky at this point i just worry cause my leaves are fading so much and sort of wilting in spots or curling...

Thricrome maturity is just the beginning. You also need to watch for the Calyxes to swell and the pistils to be receded back. I was just giving him a quick eye on his what appears to be a very small plant..

I don't even really check trichs anymore. But I would agree that plant needs another couple weeks or so.

I just look at the buds anymore, or the plant as a whole. You can pretty much tell when they're ready. I checked trichs constantly my first grow, but now it's pretty easy to tell just by looking at the buds.
It is a good idea to check trichs when you think they're ready if you want, but I'm too lazy for that anymore, and don't really think it's necessary.
