This would be too far from the wall. and would nee too many fans.Is an adjustable pedestal fan an option?
yes! the unistrut is what im talking about. Can you please share some picsI mounted some using strut channel so I can loosen the wing nuts and slide them up and down.
Could you take one more shot of how you have the fan mounded to the bracket. What kind of fan is this?unistrut is just a brand name for a strut channel manufacturer.

24 inches is too big for my room. ill have to think of something to mount a hurricane or 16 inch fan like thatRun a screw through the back of the spring nut, a touch of red locktite on the threads right up by the head of the screw, this will keep it locked into the spring nut (sans spring). Then you just use a wingnut to hold the fan to the spring nut/channel. Zoom in on the images I posted all the info you need has been provided.
You are right. they need to be replaced all the time.Honestly, it seems like space is at a premium and pretty much any solution will push the fan out farther from the wall. You may just want to try and get some extra hangar brackets for the fans, they die all the time anyways so buy twice as many as you need and have backups. Use the extra brackets to have a high and low hanging position.
I have some of those hurricane fans in my flowering rooms and they do die a LOT. It's rare one makes it through 6 months, so having spares is good. I just keep taking them back to the store and exchanging them.
