That seems to be the opposite of what I have heard and most people do. So your saying you never flush your plants? What did you s*** in your pot
I feed every watering, they drink a lot less in the end, so I just feed and water a lot less
Can you elaborate on this?I have but not anymore
It's been proven that flushing is broscience, and it is just flushing money down the drain
There's dozens of flushing threads out thereCan you elaborate on this?
I havent grown with salts in years so I havent been keeping up with it at all, but do you guys not flush anymore I thought that was more for outdoor/soil organic growers.
I havent flushed plants in years but thought it was at least still commonplace for the synth salt nute guys..
Probably hundreds...There's dozens of flushing threads out there

Hmm Ive been on here almost every day for 15 years or so now, Ive never seen any actual studies posted here... Do you know who did the study? Can you send me a link if you've got a minute?.... Cursory search for actual studies didnt turn up anything for me... Appreciate it.The study has been posted in dozens of threads
It basically states that people like unflushed smoke better, once the nutrients are in the buds there are not coming out, and flushing causes heavy metal build up,
You can lead a horse to water...CONCLUSION
In a first of its kind study, Rx Green Technologies evaluated the effects of flushing period on yield, potency, terpenes, mineral content, and taste characteristics of Cannabis flower. Overall, the length of the flushing period did not impact yield, potency, terpenes, or taste characteristics of Cannabis flower. Taste test results indicated a trend toward improved flavor and smoke quality with the zero-day flush. While there were no significant differences in nutrient content, there was a trend toward increased iron and zinc in flower flushed for 14 days. The results of this trial indicate that there is no benefit to flushing Cannabis flower for improved taste or consumer experience.

Rx Green’s research study on cannabis flushing explores the truth behind this urban myth in growing nutrients.www.rxgreentechnologies.com
Some of the biggest proponents these days for flushing are nutrient companies selling bottles of sugar water and epsom salts for $20.

I grow in coco with salts using blumats for irrigation so never any runoff. I don't flush but just taper down the nutrient strength towards the end. I've never had any complaints with the finished product. In fact I've had friends over with their dispensary bought weed and they always end up smoking my stash because it's better all round. Taste, smell quality, etc...Appreciate the links.... I thought it was known that this wouldnt have any significant affect on the buds themselves Thought that was well known for awhile now... But I had thought the synth salt guys still flushed for their mediums sake and avoiding any toxic build up of salts or preventing any lock out issues.... Not so much for any benefit toward taste/potency/yield/ash or burnabilty.
Id be interested to read about the subject and any results of any bigger trials or studies. This RX Green Tech study was only 1 strain, and only in Coco.. Also they were testing for yield/potency and taste which can be highly subjective.. Most people I know that smoke dont go that indepth that they would have any real opinion on a taste test or something unless the difference between Sample A and Sample B was extremely different, like mids vs.top shelf or something.
