Curing with turkey bags

I want to use turkey bags to cure bc I feel like it will be easier than the jar route with a potential large outdoor harvest. An experienced grower recommended turkey bags which sounds smart. Looking at my options online, they don’t seem to have a proper sealer, only a tie to keep it closed. Can anyone recommend the best one? Or a way to keep the ones I see available properly sealed? Thanksh

I cure in turkey bags. Put about a half pound in each then into 3 gallon buckets and pop a lid on

open once a day and toss the buds around.
Thank you for your response. Not trying to be combative, but what’s the point of the turkey bag if you’re sealing in a bucket? Do you seal the bag somehow as well?

My buckets I use don’t have a gasket, therefore aren’t sealed. Just use it to keep the light out.

I usually just tie the turkey bag into a knot and it seems to seal off the bag pretty well...if not try wrapping rubber bands around it

Posted this in another forum section but didn't get any responses, maybe I'll have better luck here...

I was going to order some turkey bags to try out this year, usually I've used sealable 5 gal buckets but I don't have those anymore and the lids are far too expensive to buy now, so will be using what I have left for buckets and jars, and any extras will be going into turkey bags, Im not sure if it matters, but are there any brands to look out for? Ones to get? Are turkey bags completely air tight? Was considering even using unscented black contractor trash bags to sweat the buds during those few days trying to get the moisture to equalize inside the buds to outside.

Here is the brand I was looking at, anybody have any experience with these? Or can anybody recommend a brand or model to buy?

BTW, for sealing the bags Doug, I'd probably agree with @HONEYCOMBHILLZ and would guess just tying it in a knot or rubber band would suffice.

Thank you all, appreciate it, Cheers

Was wondering the same about brands. They don’t seem to be completely air tight which is why I was concerned about the turkey bags even though I was recommended them by a very experienced 15 years grower (he actually consulted with and exchanged cuttings with sub cool). I’m trying to reach out to him and see how he seals. Rubber bands or Velcro would probably do the trick I’m sure. I like the recommendation of a vacc seal without the vacc I got from someone on here I may consider investing in a vac seal. Idk but I need to decide on something

Not a bad idea,.. took a quick look, theyre really not bad as far as price goes... basically cost the same as the roll of bags.
Heres a few of the cheapest ones I saw on amazon, if you have prime,(not sure on cost if not) and the bags that have been posted or I was probably going to grab a roll of these too.

Vac Sealer #1 $39.99

Vac Sealer #2 $46.99

(2-Pack) 11 inch X 50 foot roll of poly (make your own bag) $20.99
