Mine started to flower about 3 days after the switch, meaning that I saw the bud sites start to form at that point. With that said, is there a way to tell when to start flushing? Should I just start around the end of the 8th week after 12/12 with Final Finish and then water until the tricomes are milky white? Or should I wait a little longer than that? Like is it okay to flush longer than 2 weeks or will i stunt growth?in 7th week is only about 4-5 weeks of actual flowering.
Does this noticibly effect the taste or have you done a side by side compared to calmag?Flushing is a myth. If feeding chemical fertilizer, just cut back all fertilizer/food 50% for the last 2 weeks, but do not flush/starve it. The plant requires Magnesium, and Sulfur in the very last stages, and these 2 chemicals are quickly depleted by marijuana, especially in container grown plants, and using chemicals for fertilizer.. Marijuana is a huge consumer of Magnesium. These 2 chemicals are also not stored in the plant, nor are B Vitamins which are responsible for metabolism, and are also quickly depleted.
I use Epsom Salts for my source of Magnesium, and Sulfur/Magnesium Sulfate. Calcium Nitrate for my Nitrogen, and Calcium source, and dont use Cal-Mag.
Lol gotta atleast try once to to speak our thoughts have a good day friend! Stay stonedAh crap another good thread about to turn into a flushing debate hell.
I'm heading out to get stoned and do something productive, have a good day guys.
Try dropping “lights on” temps to low 70’s and lights off just a few degrees lower. You can force it out with the cold. They're in the 7th week since the 12/12 switch and they're not purple at all on the outside as far as I can tell. Does that mean I gave them too much nutrients? Or will it change in the flushing phase?

Well as I am stumped give me a few days of reading to get back to this as it seems I have a bit to learn other then my basic 3 part nutes and adding calmag and armor si lolMy fedding regime just requires Epsom Salts vs Cal-Mag as my Calcium, and Magnesium source.
As long as one is supplying the basic nutrients, in the correct ratios, it probably doesnt matter between Cal-Mag as your source of Ca/Mg, but doing this you would need to also have a Sulfur source.
The base formula for chemicals is
4-20-39
Then I add
15.5-0-0... Which is Calcium Nitrate, and is my source of Calcium, and Nitrogen.. So now, Ive eliminated the need for more Calcium, and Nitrogen as in Cal-Mag. Cal Mag also supplies 5-0-0 Nitrogen
After mixing the Base Formula, and Calcium Nitrate my NPK is 19.5-20-39
I then add
Epsom Salts. This supplies my Magnesium, and Sulfur.
I start out with a low PPM in Seedling Stage, and slowly increase until the last 2 weeks of flowering. I cut NOTHING BACK until then.
This is how I do an average 8 weeks flowering strain. PPM may vary by strain, but not alot.
At flip, Ill keep slowly increasing PPM of 19.5-20-39, and then in week 2.5 I will increase the P-K in the form of MonoPotassium Phosphate 0-52-34. I will use this until week 4, and then give the Epsom Salts a Boost from weeks 5-6, and then cut PPM by half from week 7-8.
