Yeah I havent tried it either, I dont think it is a pirated copy at all, Im not down with that kind of stuff, it is PDF Drive.com and that book has been on that site for a long time. And I do agree, you do gotta look at the whole plant, thats why I am putting the scope back in the drawer and just using the method that I and many before me have used for years. My eyeball, lol.

BTW, thats an incredible pic you have there of the trikes, can I ask what kind of scope that you used? Mine is obviously an inferior type.
Thx. It's a Omax stereoscope with a 16mp cam.
I'll break out some more as we get closer to harvest.

I've got a few books by "Jorge" and learned allot from him. I still use them for reference. He's a pretty entertaining guy to watch in his vids. Allot of them are on YouTube. I reread my post and didn't mean to come off harsh like that. Sorry.

No that's ok, I had a hard copy too, this one is the medical marijuana growers guide, I had one person respond to me on a forum that said, 'that information is like 40 years old, I don't think they even had fertilizer back then' I'm like aw geeze, really? Yes I learned a lot from him as well. Very informative and changed many of my perspectives on growing. I came to realize that growing is as either complicated it as simple as you want to make it.
I like to keep it simple.
Thank you for your response, means a lot to me. Hope your medicine comes out amazing this year.

Great Pics WarFox, that top pic seems to be coming right along, what you thinking, a week or two maybe? Ten days. Question, you flushing yet? Do you flush? Some people believe its a myth while others say it removes the salts. What say you? This last pic ya, two weeks - ish.

Thos yellow pistils are Crazeeee!!! I got a lot turning purple out there too right now, amazing pics, cant wait til mine look that good. I feel like Im the caboose on a runaway train, but Ill catch up!!
As for flushing: I guess you could say I “flush” in that I won’t fertilize the last(approximately) 2 weeks. I fertilized my Sativa-leaners today because my leaves are more yellow than I’d prefer considering that they have about another 3-ish weeks to go I think.

I believe that formal flushing may be more reserved for synthetic salt fertilizers? I’m no expert on the subject, though.

It’s my opinion that we already have a huge leg-up out the gate with respect to smell and taste of our buds simply because we are outdoor, flush or no flush.

Your girls are looking beautiful as well!

TY TY, yeah, I consider 'flush' just water for the last couple weeks. I dont use a huge variety of chemicals, one of my grow clients uses Emerald Harvest which I think is a rip off, personally. You cant tell me that the charts they give you and also they tell you to give them the feeding every single day, is also the same for every single area in the states and otherwise. I just dont bite, but my buddy does, hes one of those believers that 'if you throw money at it, it will become awesome' (That was my Schwarzenegger voice) pffftt. I just do the work and he pays, lol. Thats another story tho.

POWDERY MILDEW AND HOW ROLL IT UP TAUGHT ME YET ANOTHER LESSON:

So i saw and ignored the little bit of PM I saw in little spots on one plant. Of course it got out of control and took off. So after researching a lot on the site, I wanted to go with the milk, but found some Organic Apple Cider Vinegar in the cupboard. Used two teaspoons per quart, might have sploshed a little extra in there, but I turned the spray bottle on mist, did a shot of Jim Beam, and went to town. This was after the wind storm that blew a bunch of 5 gallon buckets around, broke branches I had to tie a bunch of stuff up... But I sprayed LIBERALLY, misted the underside, the topside, the buds, the whole plant and even a plant or two that may have touched said plant or been next to it. Hope I didnt go too nuts, and hope that even if I did go a skosh over two teaspoons, it wont harm the plant. Will have a report tomorrow and next day. If ineffective will switch to milk, but from what I understand, you only need to change the acidic level to abolish the spores. Came in washed up, jumped in shower and put clothes in wash. I couldnt believe how fast that PM spread. First it was a little here, a little there, then, 'BAM!' all over the lower part of the one plant. Could be, as I was warned, when I used the leaf blower, even though I used it briefly and from afar, was probably all it took.

Anyway, with all the strings I got tying stuff up out there, its starting to look like the the end of 'Wanted,' where the loom factory was wrecked and there was thread everywhere. Or a Spider-man night drunk on the town. Using just kite string, not with the nylon in it tho,

Any advice on the apple cider vinegar, will it burn my plants,? should I not have saturated them,? should I have not sprayed the buds? Someone said it may make the pistils turn red quicker. Well, Geez, I hope so, lol.

Advice, anyone?

Haven’t used cider so can’t comment on that. I tried baking soda last year and it did instantly cook the pistils. Used peroxide after that and have ever since - it’s not a drop-dead cure but it does seem to slow PM down.

Today I brought my plants into the sunroom from the back yard... the thing is, the sunroom is located in front of my house. I think I have them covered pretty well, and you really can’t tell what’s going on if you were outside. Check out the pics and let me know what do you guys think? Is it cool or sketchy?

I’m currently in prohibition land and I’ve been really nervous when they were all outside. I think this is less risky now, plus it’s protection from all the morning dew and humidity.

Might put a ladder there with tools on it....make it look more like construction is going on. Maybe some power tools outside the sunroom that are more visible too.

I use EH nutes, for flushing though I just stop feeding the plants a few weeks before finish. TBH the biggest difference I've seen between flushing and not isn't in taste, it is if you get sparks when your smoking.

Ever smoke a bowl and there are little sparks sometimes? That's usually someone who nuted like crazy but then didn't do any sort of flush.

As far as their directions, well, its chemistry and Im sure heat temps effect things, but you are supposed to store in a "cool dry place". Geographical location doesn't change how they work or what a marijuana plant needs in general to do the best. You can always supplement if you find something not working correctly or change set ups.

Why do I use them? Because it gives me a piece of mind and I can keep my plants looking healthy all grow without buying a million different smaller organic pieces and mixing them myself. It's the same reason that I buy premixed dirt. I LOVE to grow mariujuana, but there are things that I don't want to get involved in yet, and making my own teas and super soil just aren't on my to do list.

I was thinking about it yesterday as I was watering (I don't feed everyday BTW, maybe once or twice a week) and trying to see how much a grow costs me. I'd say with nutes I spend about $2-225 per 10-12 plants I grow. That is an ounce between them to get my money back and not to sound boogie but that isn't going to scare me away from using them. Especially when it streamlines and saves me a lot of time doing math I'm not good at and making sure I added all my supplements correctly. AND if something is looking off, EH only uses a few different bottles and is easy to correct the issue.

How much is your time worth? Mine is $$$$$$$$. So, I get it that I might use more expensive ones than I need, and Jacks or GH would probably be fine and half the price....I like the EH set up and supplements, so that's what I use. I've done 3-4 grows with it and been happy. Used Advanced nutrients before and thought they just had too many options and extra crap. EH is going that way so I might have to ditch them too. I don't think plants need 30 different specialized bottles and that seems like milking the customer base to me.

With the lights on I feel like you can see your nugs stacking. I'd get darker sheets. The idea that you are doing some work in there isn't a bad idea to play that up a little, but its a sun room so what could you really be doing in there lol.

If neighbor asks just say you have family coming to town and its a huge tent fort :p

The organic Apple Cider worked AMAZING. Where I once had an infested plant that was spreading rapidly, I now have not a single iota of PM, overnight. Very Impressed.

UPDATE: Upon Closer Inspection, I did discover some PM in the thickest of branches, deep in the middle. I gave it another treatment, focusing only on the areas I Missed. And since it is a preventative measure, I misted on the top and underside leaves of the Tops. Hopefully that will do it.....

POWDERY MIDEW WIPED OUT COMPLETELY
Yep, two teaspoons of Organic Apple Cider per quart of water completely abolished every last sign of powdery mildew that I had on one plant. I have never been so amazed. Wish I took before and after pics. Now, I admit, I misted the hell out of it, underside, leaves, everything, and theres no sign, nor is there any sign of dadmage. And its organic. I read (here) that all you need to do is to change the acidic levels, well, Im a believer.
