Best LED for a 5x5 spread?

Yea I’ve seen these floating around out there.

No thanks. Rather not ‘Bet’ $50k in lighting on cheap Chinese crap that’ll break or over heat or quit working in a year because Quality control is basically non existent there. And no customer service

Rather stick with an American company if I can, that is going to offer a warranty and actually has a customer service department.

Yeah no customer service. Ruby has checked with me about 5 times since i got my light a week ago. You just making bullshit up or what fool told you this? They come with a 2 year warranty like most lights you will get that are "made" in NA (aka shipped from China and MAYBE assembled here if your lucky). I have seen people getting bars sent to them free of charge if its just a bar that starts messing up. You are dealing with a 50 person company with Meijiu not some 10000 employee company being ran by its investors. And you think those companies are going to treat you better??

Not to mention they might not be rated to run a commercial grow, and pass whatever standards they're supposed to. I don't grow commercially, but I know you guys have way more regulations than us private growers.

And I feel the same way. I'll spend the extra cash for US built stuff anytime I can.

I'm curious how long it's gonna take before they start making fake Diablo boards, lol.

I'm sure the Mars boards wouldn't pass commercial standards. They can shock you, and the company says it's normal, and just user error, lol.

Exactly. I’m not about to trust 1000amps to Chinese soldering lmao

That’s what I like about ChilLed is they source their materials from America where they can and they attach diodes to PCB in house.

Bought a couple ROIs for the Veg room the other day... immediately wish I had done HLGs 650s instead. I’m just so used to strips that the small look of the HLG board design deceived me on how good their canopy spread is.

Hell ya. HLG is quality too. I love all mine. The ChilLed look beautiful too though.

Ya, the commercial version is a little more. I know, they aren't cheap.
Must be one hell of a light

It's funny you think a company that is forced to make production cheaper yearly by there investors make such a great product. That's how mass production works. Price goes up yearly material quality or time used to build goes down.

I have seen quality control here in Canada on stuff like Cadbury candy sour patch kids cherry blasters ETC. You can't get much worse then the QA here so i doubt a small company like Meijiu is going to be THAT bad. I could see a couple thousand employee company being quite different tho. QA still only gets paid so much and it isn't enough to sweat on quality that much. Not like you are getting some of the pie.

For a 5x5 its probably better to think in tterms off several lights. Say 4 x 260 hlg or china kits, running on about 200w each or so. Each kit centered inn a corner over a 3x2 area. If youre running china boards liike this, bit softer you minimize risks of problem due to lower power per diode. But with china kits allways get drivers locally or at least in your country. If you want hlg go for hlg kits. Or why not a bunch of qb96? Say 8 of them, corner ones on a 480 driver, extra power needed to get even cover in the corners, and the rest on a 320 driver.

Have they released this?

I can only find a 4 board Diablo.

Where can you get the same light?

Have you seen Migros review on ChilLed?

When you have a 1000w light that only costs $1600 and will produce roughly $6000-8000 per harvest per light... yea they’re effin you really hard there....
I had a chilled. Ran it once and sold it. That company really rubs me the wrong way. Their target market is 100% a tent grower.

Really? Glad you said something. Thinking I’ll wait for mammoth to release their 1000w.

Why’d you sell it? And what rubbed you the wrong way?

What’s got me so hard on these chilled is their spread and Migros YouTube review of the 600w backs their claims for the most part

There's also the little issue about Chilled lying on their sphere test to get better numbers than reality. Their real numbers are good, so not sure why they needed to inflate them artificially.
