Ah yeah I guess that makes sense that these companies have upped their product game. It was definitely a hard pill to swallow paying $120 CAD for a HPS bulb, but these silly forums and I guess fanboys all the info I was finding was only use the good bulbs for noticeably better yields.
Hrm putting stuff into practice for me hasn't been too bad, except that most people when I ask questions don't seem to take into account that I'm not wealthy because most people just tell me to buy this expensive thing (par meter) or that expensive thing (space heater).
That or they just give me conflicting information. A thread I started a few days ago about using Gypsom (calcium sulfate) in promix hp was met with 'don't use it it will never dissolve' to 'it dissolves rapidly' and 'avoid it you don't want flocculation' to 'you want flocculation'. I'm more confused then I started lol.
But forums seem like the best (only) place to really go for specific horticulture information, I wish I knew a farmer. I just wish the information I got was more consistent.
@DarkWeb I will see if I can find a way to change the fan's configuration to pull through the hood. It will be hard though, and will end up with at least 1 90degree turn. Tight quarters giving up half of my closet to a small grow tent. Again though I have heard people say to push, some say pulling over the bulb is better. I'd still like to see like some data, or a succinct explanation before I go tearing down my fans again.
