Hi! I found a cola which is very dry and brittle and all of the hairs are dark but there is an other cola from the same plant which has a lot of white hairs and just really soft. Ehat happened the the other cola??

Is there any Purple Punch in that pheno?

Cut the thing down cause it's the roots most likely. Sometimes down deep in the soil one area gets acidic real bad and will effect one main branch at a time. So far that one branch is dead up top meaning no water/nutes are getting to it. So the light is essentially cooking the top bud on that branch. It's dead, get rid of it. See how the buds are doing below it.

You said the other buds up top on the other branches are soft. That also means water is slowing down to the top. they will look like the other bad one in 24 hours or less. Cut the whole thing down and save what you can.

Need proof? Lift the plant out of the pot. Check to see the color of the roots. If they are brown they are dying. You might save it but I believe the damage is already done.

Don't cut anything down until you check the roots. But the dead top you DO need to cut off asap.

I'm not with you, bud rot is difficult to see until it kills/eats the bud and turns brown?

It doesn't necessarily have to affect the whole of the branch/bud but once it's got the stem everything above it dries out looking like the above?

The hairs are dead. The leaves are crispy from no moisture. That bud has not been getting water up top for at least 24 to 36 hours.

OP, how fast did this happen? I'm betting 24 to 36 hours.
