Haven't seen anything like this. Can I ask why?Is anyone growing in 100% Earth worm castings? Or even some kind of 70/30 EWC/perlite blend? Most of the threads I’ve searched on here people are using coco also. I’m interested in 70% EWC+. Any pics, experience, or info would be appreciated.
I have read a few articles about it. Some on here. Was just curious IF and how well it works.Haven't seen anything like this. Can I ask why?
Curious too. I got plenty of castings. LolI have read a few articles about it. Some on here. Was just curious IF and how well it works.
I’m going to try the 75/25 next grow.Curious too. I got plenty of castings. Lol
I believe the castings have a 7 ph. (Neutral)pH might be hard to stabilize without Dolomite lime
What's the idea?I’m going to try the 75/25 next grow.
Yeah I went down this rabbit hole a few days ago. I’m going to try it problem is I have my next grows already vegging in soil so it’s going to be a Little bit. Maybe when I pot up I will go into the EWC.Worm Castings - Nature's Finest Fertilizer! | Vite Greenhouses

this was an interesting read i say try with perlite to avoid compaction
EWC is loaded with nutrients and will continue to feed the soil through the entire grow. At least that’s what I’m hoping. Im looking for a water only solution. The perlite just to help with drainage. What's the idea?
things are only discovered when we diverge from the common path. do it for science sakeYeah I went down this rabbit hole a few days ago. I’m going to try it problem is I have my next grows already vegging in soil so it’s going to be. Little bit. Maybe when I pot up I will go into the EWC.
Any reason why you say you wouldn’t recommend it? Just the drainage issue? It can be done, but I sure wouldn't recommend doing it. Not 100% EWC at least.
I think the peat and airation makes the benefits of ewc really come alive. I'll stick to 1/3 castings, soil has a chance to really come alive With proper moisture and airation. I man gunna guess it would be a big fail. XOmpared to traditionall mixes.Any reason why you say you wouldn’t recommend it? Just the drainage issue?
Im interested. I have grown many tomatoes in ewc/peat/perlite with some added meals like kelp and crustacean and some minerals added. I would tbink you would want a few amendments...Peat really helps a lot with retention and a bit of buffering as well.Is anyone growing in 100% Earth worm castings?
