Mars hydro ts600 on sale now on Amazon for...$ 57 79. Free shipping
I'm not sure but it's sweet right? Doesn't look like they sell them stateside yetCurious what the Lm/W rating is on that.
Philips rates their bulb in lumens/watt... I would like to compare the efficiency of the two.Looks like 1.6umole/joule.
Maxibright Daylight 600W CMH Agro 3K Lamp
Maxibright 600W Ceramic Metal Halide Agro 3K Lamp More flower, less power. The Agro lamp can be used at all stages of growth. 90 CRI (sunlight is 100 CRI) High efficiency 1.6 μmol/s−1 W−1 Significantly increased plant mass compared to HPS Significantly higher yield per watt compared to HPSwww.greenspirit-hydroponics.com
Their 315 bulb is rated for 2umole/joule so the 600w is 20% less efficient than their 315. Im betting the philips is another 20% efficient. 2.2-2.6 is my bet.Looks like 1.6umole/joule.

Yeah its kinda cool but their 315 is rated at 2umol/joule so your losing 20% efficiency....That adds up.I'm not sure but it's sweet right? Doesn't look like they sell them stateside yet
"how many scientists does it take to pick a lightbulb" should be a new saying.stick with the hps trust me i am a scientist
Wowstick with the hps trust me i am a scientist
LolI will sell you a tsw2000 for $250 usd you pay shipping
If your in q colder location then led doesnt save much on electric... you'll need heatersSo currently im using a 600w hps but its too costly so thinking of giving led a go
So im thinking 2 mars hydro ts600 or 1 tsw2000
In my 120x120x180 tent with 4 photos
Cost of the light is a little bit of a prob really need to be under £300
Thats why i still like COB's. because cobs throw a decent bit of heat. Not sure about QB's because i dont have any yet. Might get a small HLG in the future. If your in q colder location then led doesnt save much on electric... you'll need heaters
Any links for the uk??DIY with XLG drivers and Bridgelux strips be best bet
as you know that was a joke but i am a journeyman electrician and in my humble opinion as long as you have the correct spectrum and coverage both types will work also depends a lot on the climate i use HID in the winter and LED in the summer to keep the room temps at 77.7 degrees fairenheit"how many scientists does it take to pick a lightbulb" should be a new saying.

XLG ballasts and bridgelux gen 2 will murder the 600w hps for around your budgetNot looking to beat the 600w hps
I no ill not get anywhere near the performance for the budget. Simply put i need to change the cist if running the lights so i can move to led or go down in whats with the hps. Iv herad great things about the mars hydro units thats all
