Switching from HPS to LED Week 4 Veg?

Those open reflectors are the problem man. You need to have 10-12 foot ceilings to run them. I also see a fan pointed directly at one of them? That is a big no no. DE bulbs do not like to be cooled. I also see an 8'' ac infinity fan hooked up to a carbon filter. Your likely only moving about 200-300cfm with that setup. AC infinity fans are no good for pulling air through filters. Look into Vortex VTX fans, 10 year warranty on those boys.

If you want to run DE bulbs in a tent, you need these hoods. Sunsystem is the only one that makes air cooled hoods for DE bulbs. The bulb is completely isolated from the air cooled portion of the hood so it is able to get up to the temps it needs to get to.

I have a 8'' VTX connected to a 10x39'' phat filter just to cool one light in a 5x5.

Put the LEDs in and am currently sitting at 71/50. Added the risers and have some nice saucers in order. Sat the lights at 18” initially and 75% power. Plants seem to be much happier now. Checked the run off on some of the plants I had concerns with and the pH had gone up to 6.5. Flushed them with 5.8 and cal/mag @ 3.75ml/gal.
Thanks for all the help guys.

With LED you want temps more like 80-83.

Even a .50 BMG can only penetrate so far.
Alrighty then. Back to the drawing board I suppose. Or to Home Depot for a space heater.‍
Just run one of the 1000w HPS for the heat?
Actually was thinking about putting two in there. One at the head and one at the tail to help with coverage. Although I think once the lights are at full height I’ll be ok. Not great, but ok. With two running at 750W I’d be running at about 80-82 I think.

What bulb is that mate, got a link?
Its the only lamp actually rated to run 1150w. I love it.

This is the hood.

They can be found used on craigslist for under 100$

Well this is what I ended up with. Still trying to find some more scratch to add some extra LEDs but the girls seem to be much, much happier now. Thank you all for the help and suggestions. Pretty sure I’m still kind of screwed height wise. Great first grow lesson.‍:(E4BD6FFB-14EF-4933-AD90-75841DA8E43F.jpegD54A52E0-116F-4635-ABB4-9B292F8BA529.jpegFD921A88-7D68-41E9-A2EA-10AC4401B6CF.jpegD81DFC41-759B-4759-9F95-FE10560D1207.jpeg2B287716-F5C6-4BCD-83D4-518F3887CB00.jpeg9F61146C-B3C8-4B93-80D4-F847388B349F.jpeg

Have you not topped them? Use the trellis to spread them out....
They were topped last week. Tops all look good. Plants have recovered from the heat/light stress and are growing. Turns out I was under watering them by half of what they were getting. Since I upped their water intake 4 days ago everything is taking back off.

Wound up getting 4 LEDs in there about 3 weeks ago. Currently on Week 4, Day 1 of flower. Thanks for all of the suggestions in the thread. I used much of that advice and was able to get my girls healthy and happy.
