Broke main stem while LST help!!!

Hello RIU.
2 days ago I started doing LST on my Royal Dwarf Auto. She was 3 weeks old. I bent the main stem to about 45° and called it a night. The next morning I bent it again to about 90°. The plant seemed to hold well. About 2 hours later I went back to check the tent and the poor little guy was split in half, only holding together by a thread. The 2 halves of the stem were already beginning to turn brown inside. I immediately grabbed some paper tape and taped it in place 2 or 3 times. I put 2 stakes behind it to hold it in case it fell down. I decided to try and see if it still had a chance. This morning it seemed to do better, the leaves were slightly rised. I was so relieved. However, I rechecked 10 minutes ago and the same leaves seemed droopy again...
Idk what to do at this point. Should I just take the tape off and take away the broken bit? The main stem still has the 2 lower shoots intact.. I could count on those worst case scenario... Maybe try to clone the upper half IF it is still alive... Help

I am not sure if cloning it would work or if autos keep maturing even when cut. 2 weeks to grow roots is a long time in an autos life.

IF it was a fresh clone, it would have worked. ( Better than throwing it away anyways ). But since it's already 2 days since the cut idk if it would survive...

Since I top instead of bending my stem, I would just top it where the tape is, lose a little time, and learn from my mistake. If you decide to keep it, might try misting the leaves. The damaged stem wont transport moisture as well which is why your leaves are drooping

it will heal... do you have clonex, or rooting gel? It can be used like Neosporin. Get some flexible plant tape.. one that will expand with new growth.
it will kick your clock back a week or so, but it should heal. I had to do that with one of the colas on my pineapple express auto.

I have none of those. I have BioBizz Root-Juice tho. Maybe could load it up in a spray bottle to mist on the leaves? I also can mist some Alg-a-mic. I've read it helps stressed plants.

Leave it be, it looks to be healing. Give it some time. Get some grafting tape like Hydrokid suggested.

I can't say that would work. Never tried it.
I'm guessing this would almost fall into the category of grafting.

If I can clone one, you can repair one. I really honestly think the only setback will be a longer veg.
I have high doubts that just because it's an auto it will just die when the "clock is up"
She will finish out fine, maybe even stronger than before.

I think if that was going to die it would be dead already.
I've snapped a branch all bar a few threads but it healed and still produced some decent sized bud.

In future twist the stem back and forth between your thumbs and forefingers to soften it, if you take your time it will go to 90 degrees without folding or snapping.
The main stem in particular warrants a bit of time and patience.

Fwiw I wouldn't put anything like root stim on it, it'll be fine without anything.

I would just top it below the break and call it a day.

Shouldn't have to buy anything, it will be fine. I snapped the main stem on a clone, stem broke open, left the top hanging by a thread at a 90 degree angle with the leaves touching the ground, it's growing awesome now.

don't train your plant when its wilting. stems and leaves break easily. i learned that myself too. i ended up cloning the broken branch.

Don’t worry, I did the exact same and panicked so badly, but the forum mentioned the same as above, just wait, bandage her and be patient. She will make a full recovery in about 2 weeks!

It'll probably be just fine.

As long as you immediately taped it will most likely recover. I snap things I want to cry over all the time still. No issues. Just a brief slow down or the loss. I suggest electrical tape in a single layer wrap, turned sticky side out. Works perfect and is vinyl so it stretches.
