Does mulch help hold in the smell?

No. I had to lay off the chili dogs. Mulch does nothing. Have to get a carbon filter and pull air thru it. Don't have to exhaust it outside. Will suck smell from the plants too.

Right but I don't want to exhaust. My house rh is like 10% right now. My tent is 50%. Exhausting will dry my plants out. I didn't realize it stinks so much. My neighbors are gonna hate me. Lol

Don't Worry Man. The smell calms down. Those microbes are eating that Craft Blend and farting up a storm. My wife says it smells like cabbage or something for a few days whenever I use it.

When I make a premixed top dress sometimes it stinks up the whole upstairs for a few days. I think of it as an earthy smell and don't really think it's that bad. At least it goes away pretty quick. It's the microbes working.

Lol... my house smells like dead fish and shit(ewc). To make matters worse, since it's so cold outside, I'm pulling in outside air to cool my tent. It blows my tent up like a balloon. Then that stinky air is pushed out into the room. My growroom is right next to my neighbors bedroom. Lol...I guess at least it don't smell like bud.

I mean, I can handle the smell. Youre right, it's rather earthy. Everytime I stick my head in my tent it smells like springtime.

I added yesterday. Plus I got some cooking right now for the next one, and this time it's HOT. It's crazy how hot it is, and it seems like it's gotten wetter at the bottom. Also, do I need to start thinking about adding anything else along the way? You say I haven't smelled anything yet, what else is there? Do I want to know? Lol

Keep mixing it everyday, especially if it's wet. You don't want it too wet.

I don't think most top dressing smells that bad. Fish emulsion is horrible though. I'm sure you can find some really stinky manures too. I don't use the stinky stuff. I do use chicken compost but the one I use doesn't smell bad. It's also from BAS.

This shit reeks, lol. The dude at the hydro store warned me not to open the sample bottles, and then he proceeded to knock one on the ground and it bust open, lol. He gave me a couple more samples because he just wanted them out of there. I wouldn't use this inside unless you have an iron nose.

I've been mixing a couple times a day. I kept the lid on but opened a crack. I'm gonna open it more though. So do you foresee me needing anything else? Or is craft blend, ewc, and pumice gonna keep my mom's alive until they're too old to keep going?

You don’t have to exhaust it. Set up the carbon filter and fan as an air scrubber.

I'd add some Oly Mountain Compost in the mix, but the Craft Blend has a nice blend of stuff to begin with. You can always add more stuff as you go. My recroom is full of all kinds of stuff now.

And to answer your original question, No, Mulch isn't gonna help the smell from top dressing.
