Removing suckers after flipping

I'd normally leave the stuff below the screen until after the stretch, I'm at 3 weeks 12/12 and I expect they'll still stretch a little bit more?

For various I can't leave them any longer and I need to get everything in place, idk about others but my tent is constantly changing over that 1st 3 week 12/12 period, now its over I can't finalize my set up for the final flower until I've clipped back the suckers on the back plants.

Question... do you think that will have much/any effect on the stretch, assuming that they've got a bit stretch to go?

Is the stretch where you want it to be? Or would you like to get more?

if you are hoping to get a little more stretch id leave them be until it’s over
Good question Bk, the plants at the back are where I'd want them to be and they're the ones I'm concerned with, the ones in the front I'd like to stretch a bit more but they aren't as important they're only testers for a better pheno.

So yes I'd like stop the stretch on the main plants that's the ones that need cleaning up badly.

I'm prepared to wait until the weekend if cleaning up below is likely to encourage stretch.

I've got some height in reserve if needed but the upheaval would be a real l pain in back, literally.

I'm trying to find the best pheno, with the exception of one they're all unknowns... Fingers crossed!

Me personally, I’d strip the ones on the back then and leave the front ones until the weekend to see what they do over the next 4 days.

Thanks Bk that was my original plan for today but I thought I'd check to be sure.
I'll get an early start tomorrow and get them cleaned up and hopefully be able to call it done.

Cheers SD

Best of luck man. Hope the front get up to where you want them.

One reason I love running mono crops of cuts lol.

I’m doing a seed run currently and expect the same deal as you’re going through

I really can't wait to find a pheno that I can be happy with so I can get back to working with 4 uniform clones, this shit is grinding me down.
Best of luck with your seed run and thanks for helping here.

It did level out reasonably well but now I'm a bit concerned about it being so busy?

At 40 days I wouldn't normally touch them but I'm open advice, do I leave it, thin the branches or pluck some leafs?

I'm not used to it as busy idk if the buds will form properly, the canopy is about 12" deep.

This might give a better perspective.

If it were me I'd thin em out...canopy, and body of plant and underside...I do it for airflow, light penetration, and to get rid of lil bullshit twigs n shoots that won't amount to shit...after each round of thinning out the plants fill back in in no time they dont miss a beat...I'll do this periodically up until about week 3-4 of flowering...by then I usually have em where i want emResized_20210228_191258.jpegResized_20210228_191341.jpeg

Trim them more than you think you should. It'll be better
I agree...I have an obsessive compulsive disorder that I should probably be straight jacketed for at times...so I tend to get carried away occasionally with my defoliation tactics...:|...plants adapt adjust and fill in...alotta people are against trimming n thinning but indoors I find it necessary and beneficial

This is going to be fun :-(

Typically the work required is at the back of this lot, I could do fine without it but needs must!

I've never done much defoliating tbh but I'm thinking when there's a tool for the job use it, I'll get in and thin them down.

Thanks guys/gals

Defoliating is really down to personal preference. Even harvest method should be taken in to consideration. If you harvest the whole plant at once defoliating makes more sense.

I've been partially harvesting the last 10 years and I don't do as much defoliating anymore because when I'm done harvesting the first layer of ripe buds I still want the lower buds to have all their leaves left to be able to flower for another 2-3 weeks. Cheers!

It wasn't nothing like as bad as I expected, I thought I was going to have to get in the tent.

The side doors gave me enough access, like tucking it's quite enjoyable once you get going.
I reckon I've removed about 2lb (6ltr pot for scale)

Under looking up I can see the light now.

And the finished job, my back is done in for the day but I'm really pleased with the progress.

Is that sufficient do you think?

Edit... Eh! It doesn’t look any bloody different lol
HPS photo edited so you can see the spacing better, the above comparison photos don't really show much.

Looks absolutely perfect! Awesome job! I wish I could get under like that, the back and knees won't allow it anymore for any longer time periods. Hats off! Cheers!
