my first attempt at a scrog, took a mother and bent it’s branches back, then stuck a pvc frame on top. It is getting a bit bushy, how does it look to y’all? Just keep bending them down? There are plenty of good heads but they are inches below the net, what could I do with them?

Strain is horchata @skunktek
10gal fabric pot with empire builder soil
On a flood table for drain purposes
Hlg550 v2 rspec turned down to 50%

They will stretch Alot, if I were you I would flip to flower phase now. As the pre flower stretch will fill the rest of your scrog in. Its sucks running out of space at week 5-6 of flower. LOL. I made that mistake before. She looks Awesome though! Good luck, and keep us all updated! :eyesmoke:

It looks like there is about a 16" gap between the net and the top of the pot? If you want, lower the net on your next endeavour. 6" would be a good gap between 'em. With the lower netting:

- you have less to lollipop
- you open more of the middle of the plant to better lighting.
- the netting would be close to 100% filled
- you would already be in flower mode
- you gain some extra room for the light - canopy distance.

Just a suggestion ...

thank you for the suggestions, I started the scrog a little late but will take your tips to the next grow.

Definitely easier to weave if the branches are still shorter - but you can put the net down when the branches are taller. It will take a combination of some wiggling of the net and bending of the branches to get it done. Yes, the plants will look like shit when you have finished ...

... but they always come back.

wow nice that came out great, definitely not afraid to bend these branches and yes they look like shit but always bounce back. It’s almost too dense in some areas of my scrog also was hard to reach the back corners to do any weaving

Looking good! I might have to scrog my next crop. Problem is I always grow 4 different strains so I have a lot of stash variety but the uneven growth messes it up. Your plant looks nice.

That's what drew me to SCROG ... you can grow a big and flat canopy. Makes it so much easier to maintain uniformity in your light distance.

Depending on your tent size, manifolding might be easier than a SCROG for growing more varieties. What's your tent size?

@themda - just what I mentioned above. It its a bit crowded in there to do anything to the back, manifolding might also work for you. You can still get good sized plants with manifolding - and your plants are still mobile if you need to move them temporarily to get to those back corners.
