Can I trim here?

Quite new to growing so don't be a cock.
I have trimmed my plant except for a few leaves that I couldn't decide if i can cut or not.
they are at the top and are the biggest on the plant, they also come straight from the stem.

My problem is that although they seem fairly important, they block a lot of light from hitting the rest of the plant.

Advice please!

P.S. I am switching her to flower soon as she's getting big for the box.

No do not cut those. If they’re blocking a bud site tuck it or supercrop that to get it where you want it.

Our fan leaves are THE engines driving this plant.

You’re not going to kill it unless it’s with water or s bunch of nutrients. I top and supercrop. OCD almost. I top 3 times early. All in row. Top and as soon as I can I pinch those new tips and I do that once more only waiting long enough to pinch it cleanly. Never hurts them.

Then I supercrop. I don’t LST because it’s too time consuming and takes too many tie downs. I squeeze the stem between thumb and a pen until I feel it collapse and then bend it over. By the next morning that end is already turned up and in a couple of days that stem is back up where I repeat this. And repeat it. I can keep almost any plant belly high. Shaped like a wagon wheel. Easy to do

It’s open to light then. Lollipop what’s under that canopy and clone the stems. They will produce a lot of bud doing this.

Pull them, you have a healthy plant it won't mind. Those lower tops will get much more light.

You prob already know but, if you supercrop once and tie off til bend heals into a knuckle, there will be no need to supercrop again... the tie off will keep supercropped branch down and when knuckle heals and stem hardens the branch will stay put. Then remove tie.

Actually to keep it level i do have to snap again and again. I’ve done this a few times. I want the canopy level.

I understand, lol. We do what is required. I’ve done different branches on the same plant but never the same branch multiple times...

They get extremely hard just past the scar so you have to keep moving out. If they weren’t under 3’ of snow I’d dig out a branch. And the snapping SLOWS the vertical growth (which is going horizontal in my case). You can also twist to slow them and that’s considered supercrop too. This is how I keep tall ones in a tent under a fixed light.

i have had a go at the plant and bent down some of the lower branches to get a bit more light but there is nowhere for the large leaves at the top to go without them covering bud sites.

Would it be safe to just snip them off? or will this be even worse than leaving them?

I remove leaves.

Others will swear they are "the engines" or "solar factories" and will never touch them.

Will be more of a personal decision. Each grow you can try new things. You'll eventually find what works best for you. Good luck.

thanks, I think that due to the circumstance I will remove them. probably more beneficial!

I agree, take inner fans over sites and leave outers, it’ll also open the inside of plant for light and airflow.

Same here, except for supercrop this grow. Most of my plants are pretty level in canopy with secondaries not far behind. First pic is HSO Passionfruit punch and Seedsman Blueberry. Second pic is Seedsman White widow and Cali orange.

Thank you everyone, I trimmed the 4 big top leaves but left the outer ones. here is what it looks like now:






I also tied one of the branches to the side using a stick from my garden and a hairband to help it get some more light
