To flush or not to flush?

Hey fellow growers this is my first grow I’m in 7 gallon fox farm ocean forest I’m on my 4th week in flowering but my leafs are getting tiny yellow dots I’m thinking a calcium deficiency I’ve been giving them calmag every watering cycle but my ph is 8 will a flush help lower my ph?

Flushing won’t help a def. only feeding will. Flushing is for getting rid of excess nutrients in the medium when overfed and should only be used as a last resort.

Going to have to flush the forums if you make another separate post about flushing. There’s gotta be 399 flushing threads... none of them end well.

I’m not really trying to remove any just trying to lower my ph so the plants can uptake the calcium

Just from the one leaf it looks ok. I don’t use that line I know @Wizzlebiz does. Maybe he can help. What’s your dosage or ppm of feedings?

I use the fox farm schedule I feed nute when ever they dry but I feed,water,water I haven’t been checking my ppm

Yes flushing with a properly pH'd feed will help correct a soil pH imbalance. A pH of 8 will be preventing the plant from up taking everything it needs.

I follow the feed chart so I give it 3 tsp of big bloom 2 tsp of grow big 2 tsp of tiger bloom

Dump 14 gallons through it if you are in 7 gallons. It’ll get all the chemicals out of the buds

Stop with the term “flushing”. Adding nutrients to your soil is not flushing. It’s feeding.

Just ph your waterings/feedings going forward.
