I work 11 hour shifts, have to water twice. I cut it close :]

My plants are healthy and thirsty in late flower? How else shall I water 6 week flower plants that are healthy but in coco that dry out in less than 24 hours

I'm flowering out two girls in coco and little 1 gallon cloth pots. They would be perfect candidates for an automated watering system. They easily can drink a gallon a day each. Sadly they normally get fed once daily and are pretty much bone dry by the time I can get to them again. I'll know for next time though, either automated watering or stick to 3 gallons.

Yup, 5 gallon pots. They want watered twice, week 6ish of flower. Really didn't think that was unusual! All of my grows have started to drink more around now, then slow down again when they are more ripe.
The 2 on the left don't care, once is enough, but they're smaller [they are sitting on 8 inch buckets] 2 on the right dry out, as well as their 5th sister in her own tent. I am gonna do straight coco next run to see if it helps.

You'll get better results in coco with daily multifeeds. IMO if you want to water every three days stick with soil.
Yeah, I know! Your plants always look hella nice. I have gone harder on leaves before, but I wanted to see what would happen if I basically took zero. Just the ones that get in my way when I water. I like the bushy look of them, and it'll feel like a treasure hunt when I get down in there on harvest day and see all the hidden buds. Got a new 6inch infinity, 3 fans, and a big 2500 square foot dehuey sucking water out of the room. No bud rot here!

True but it didn’t dry out still got a good bit of weight from that room. I prefer soil honestly but coco has its place.

I've heard this, but I don't really understand. If you have enough moist medium, what's the difference? it seems to me that you're better off watering less if possible because that means more air to your roots. How often do you swap out DWC water? Certainly not several times a day. What's the difference?

Just up your dosage a little then? When I used 5 gallon or even 3 gallon fabric pots, I would water once every two days until they demanded a daily watering, but they never required more than that. I could see if you had a big plant in a small pot, but that would be more of a demand for moisture than nutrients.
Right now I'm growing 6 plants in a 2 x2 ft bed covered ion panda film. They have plenty of coco to dig around in, and it stayed moist for much longer than in fabric pots. The plants doing fine. I went three days without watering them last week, but I think that's pushing it nutrient wise. Every other day seems perfect.

In DWC the roots are continuously exposed to nutrient solution. Multi feeds in coco are similar as you constantly try to keep the roots exposed to fresh nutrients. Feeding DTW to runoff prevents salt build up and EC spiking.
