My ancestral home is in Taiwan, and I have not been to mainland China. It should be regarded as an overseas Chinese. You should know that the political parties in Taiwan and Mainland China are different.
You work in Hong Kong and the situation there has changed dramatically, if America loses power in the region Taiwan could be next on the chopping block! Many people from Hong Kong came to Canada and the wealthier ones bought property, some have their kids living in the houses while they attend school and get Canadian citizenship.

I don't think China wants conflict, it's bad for business, that's the why the world economy was structured that way after WW2, the interdependence makes armed conflict more difficult.

I don’t know if you have ever heard of LOOKAH Glass, because my father and I have the LOOKAH license in the United States and are their partners. Yes, we own a headshop.
So you guys own the name to Lookah glass products? That's cool. Is that a separate venture aside from owning a storefront?

i know it's stuck on sand (and heavy) but engineering-wise if you get a few Tugs at bow and stern to make the shift (pull opposite direction) that should work. they've actually could've unloaded enough of it by now by taking containers off..they don't need to take all 18k off wonder what the holdup is and what's in that many containers and is that allowed?

High anxiety over federal weed loophole - POLITICO

High anxiety over federal weed loophole
A seeming loophole in federal law is allowing people to buy products designed to get them high.

Paul ImOberstag’s small hemp farm in Banner, Ill., survived the bottoming out of prices in the CBD market and the pandemic.
Then, Delta-8 THC came along.
In the span of a few months, Banner Harvest went from selling about 15 pounds of CBD-rich hemp flower a month to “basically zero” pounds. The reason: All of the wholesale customers were now stocking Delta-8 THC, a close cousin of the chief psychoactive compound in marijuana, Delta-9 THC.

The salvage company contracted to move the ship have vast experience, they just need to put a few pieces in place, this job is nothing compared to what they deal with at sea and on the coast.
