Couldn't find a thread on these guys and they're relatively new to me as well. Running 2 varietals from them atm: Shidi Bhang (Balochistan) & Manipur (East Manipur/Burma). Irrizinig mentioned Manipur as the "most psychoactive" in his collection. IMO, Indian genetics might have some of the most untapped potential in the world. Untapped for us Westerners because not many of us have smoked Indian weed. But India has been smoking for hundreds, if not thousands, of years with hundreds of religions and over 1 billion inhabitants.

Just started sexing one of the Shidi Bhang plants. Shidi Bhang is supposed to have feelings of "impending doom", which sounds pretty awesome to me and I really want to wrap some up in a nice joint to give my friends who think they're the smoke kings :blsmoke:

I'll get some pics and smoke reports later once we get more substance. The Shidi Bhang plants are growing with super wide Afghan like leaves and have stem rub smells like burnt rubber/smoke where the Manipur plants are growing tall quickly with more narrow blades and a sweeter stem rub reminiscent of flowers. Plans are to f2 all of these and outcross selections with plants that we think will match up well.

Here's some Balochistan Shidi Bhang #4 selection "impending Doom." Most of them were cabbage but this one stood out. Smells mostly earthy, but has some slight grape smell in the background. Growing some Manipur too but will be a long time until it's ready.

Thanks Mantis. Looks like you found something interesting there.

Thanks!

Just put a pack of ILE Manipur into paper towel. Hope it does better than the ILE Cambodian which looks to have no viable seeds in the pack at 5 days into germination. I took the seed shells off the embryos and will see if anything lives. Killed a few seeds doing that, split the embryo, but a couple may make it thru.

Mantis, take a larf bud off and smoke it. We are dying here with anticipation. Lower the lights on to 9 hours. I run my plants at 9/15 all thru flower. Take them down when you see any cloudy resin, do not wait for amber.

Have them flowering out in small 4" pots but I'm not in any rush. One is at 17.5 weeks already and is still shooting white hairs. I have them on 10 hours light. Will probably let it go to 20 weeks. Will try to get some pictures, but it really won't do it justice until the outside runs this year. We have a few of them in the ground already.
