Hygrometer placement

When I place it on the soil the humidity is around 78% but when I place it near the top of my tent on top of my carbon filter it goes down to 60%

Where should I be placing the Hygrometer for accurate humidity measurements in my grow tent?

I'm guessing these are way too high for the flowering stage which I am in right now?

Ground level,canopy level and roof height.
Nice to know where the differences are

right under the top of the canopy. and yes. thats too high.
