100% you need good stable genetics 1stNo one is saying that you can just feed any plant tap water and it will be a monster. You need to stop taking every statement as an absolute.

I'm not saying that you can grow a plant with no nutrients at all. Your just playing semantics here. The soil I'm am using is already nitrogen rich and prefertilised. What I'm saying is that a large percentage of available potting mixes are prefertilised, and it will be interesting to see how far straight tap water will get.Purpleberrykush is trolling you.
Tap water doesn't have "added" anything. Some peoples tap water has calcium and magnesium. Doesn't have relevant levels of any of the other things you mentioned (especially Nitrogen). If you don't grow a plant in soil, you need to feed it nutrients. Just trying to prevent misinformation being spread here.
We already addressed you're using a time release fertilizer. I was talking to purpleberrykush after that. Clearly he is trolling your statement that all you need is genetics and water.I'm not saying that you can grow a plant with no nutrients at all. Your just playing semantics here. I already have three other setups at 150w or 200w each, not to mention a back yard full of 5 ft photos. This is just for for fun. .you should probably re read the thread.Lack of ample light is going to be the weakest link in this experiment. You'd be better off to save $$ by just getting a refrigerator box instead of a tent, and throwing that money at more light.

You can get a water report from your city or water authority which will tell you exactly what is in your water. Spoiler alert: its not the right levels of nutrients to grow plants in an inert media. No matter where you live. I am not arguing with you that you can use your time release fertilizer! I am responding to purpleberry saying he used soilless (inert medium) in a windowsill with no nutrients.
Dude. I've had this stuff here for two years. It didn't cost me anything. It's a spare tent. And spare lights. I just went on Kogan, Amazon and eBay to check current prices of these products as they are rebranded no names that have been sold for years.I read it. You are looking to see what you can grow with minimal costs, but half of the cost is spent on the tent. Maybe you should re read your own thread?
Aswell as boron, copper, sulfar, chlorine, and a few others. My taps 220 ppm
I thought you said you were out of here lol?naw,it's just your attitude, but whatever

I don't think you guys get it...I'm not expecting ANYTHING from it lol, hence why it is under a terrible light and being starved lol. I literally have just harvested 6 other plants and already have a fat monkey going on six weeks, and a red skunk popping it's head, but for some reason people think I'm expecting some monster here. I wasn't even really expecting to hit harvest.in his defense @PURPLEB3RRYKUSH is trolling him
nothing wrong with a low budget grow. just dont expect anything like purpleberry's pictures he posted from "soilless in a windowsill"

The pictures of the buds you posted do look dank. No need to give people false hope though. If you did grow those yourself we both know it wasn't on a windowsill and you fed the plants nutrients...Your just jealous of my skills.

ive just done a test with my potting and seedling compost (organic jacks magic) 2 plants under a 250watt metal halide. 1 auto cbd 30-1cbd thc and a black domina cbd, the soil lasted 4 weeks untill n deff reared its ugly head. both good genetics seedsman auto cbd and a sensi black domina cbd. it will be interesting to sree how long the ptre ferted soil lasts.I'm not saying that you can grow a plant with no nutrients at all. For sure. They say a 160 light angle, and a 3sq foot coverage which is definately an absolute load of crap lol. The hotspot is only around 1/3 of a foot sq, and at 1sq foot, it's down to 90umol/s. I've only ever used them as supplemental to my ts600 and 150w my/hps, and I'm interested to see if they possibly have any value as cloning or veg lamps in a spare tent or closet hooked up to 4-7 way splitters (I have like 12 of them, and 8x6w 28 led bulbs as well kicking around, but they never really entered my mind unitl lately.)ive just done a test with my potting and seedling compost (organic jacks magic) 2 plants under a 250watt metal halide. 1 auto cbd 30-1cbd thc and a black domina cbd, the soil lasted 4 weeks untill n deff reared its ugly head. both good genetics seedsman auto cbd and a sensi black domina cbd. it will be interesting to sree how long the ptre ferted soil lasts.
i have 2 of those purple light bulbs 1 x 100 watt and 1 x 150 watt, i was disapointed with the spread of light from them and only use them for seedlings if i even use it, i found the ts600 to be far better.
good luck and it will be interesting to see the results as you go along
Outdoor the plants would be in soil. The ones i posted i fed. But i still get good yields with just water mate on my outdoor guerilla grows
