Has anyone else noticed that everything Conservative focused is fear based? I even watch the Inspiration Channel because of Gunsmoke comes on there sometimes. Every single commercial is designed to scare the viewer into buying some sort of service or send money to them because of the gun grabbers lol...Even in speeches in public, the conservative media, every bit of it is fear based. Its really sad
Fear is what drives them and is at the base of all racism and bigotry, not a sense of "racial superiority", the true believers and fanatics are worried about being "replaced". What they are really worried about is being out competed and out performed by brown folks on a level playing field. They hate them because they are a threat to their perceived social statues. Most emotionally adjusted people can deal with the historic implicit bias of "white superiority", though many use the delusion to hide their true motives and fear.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A former president of the organization that hosts the Golden Globes has been dropped from the group’s board sending an email that called Black Lives Matter a “hate movement.”

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association board said in an email Tuesday that Phil Berk is no longer a member of the organization. The decision comes hours after NBC — which telecasts the Globes — condemned Berk’s actions and called for his “immediate expulsion.”

The show’s producer, dick clark productions, also demanded for Berk’s removal.

Berk, an eight-term association president, fell under heavy scrutiny after he sent an email Sunday criticizing Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors. The South African-born Berk shared an article that called Black Lives Matter a “racist hate movement” and described Cullors as a “self-proclaimed trained Marxist,” according to a report from the Los Angeles Times.

The email was sent to HFPA members, staff and the group’s general counsel and chief operating officer.

Berk had been a member of the organization for more than 40 years.

In February, the HFPA was criticized for lacking diversity. At the time, the group had 87 members who are journalists, but none are Black, the Times reported.

The organization has said that an “action plan” was under development to admit Black members.

She's whistling for dollars, nothing like the old dog whistle to bring in them small donor bucks. The trouble is it's cutting into Donald's action and milking his suckers, he can't be pleased.
I really would love to know if the donations made to politicians are actually checked to have been made by the people whose names they are under.

Clickfarm a few donations on someone who bought a hat once and who would ever know if they used a different account to wash the money with.

She could also be using those prechecked boxes. Fortunately HR-1 should take care of most shenanigans and Joe is gonna be real aggressive with a legislative agenda and go all out on the fuckers. He's got the wind at his back and smart team to tell him how to keep it there. Gaining power during the scientific payoff period and an excellent performance on the vaccine roll out impressed many independents, especially the older ones. Joe has and eye on 2024 and the democrats will need every inch of his coattails to keep the house and increase the number in the senate. I would expect DC and perhaps Puerto Rician state hood by 2024, if they can make some gains in 2022. The republicans must be kept out of power and Joe will go left or right as required to do it.

Shit, Biden is getting swamped with only being able to do so much, I am not sure how they are going to get anything not budget related through congress with the Republicans holding the power to filibuster.

Joe will buy off the recalcitrant senators with goodies from the infrastructure program and I'm sure his team have anticipated this, they are pros and Joe knows the senate. They will not eliminate the filibuster but revert it to the old way it was done and make the fuckers stand babble and make fools of themselves, but 50 votes wins if the GOP doesn't play ball. They have several budget things they can drive through procedurally and if they just get voting rights, HR-1 and police reform through, it will be enough. The prize is 2022 and keeping republicans out of office, they are not just unfit, but a real and present danger.

Joe won't have to work too hard to get the left and minority votes, it's those freshly minted independents he's after and trying to get them to go down the ballot on the blue side from dog catcher to senator. If figure Joe is the guy to do it and being white as snow will help him the most of all.

We will see. Last I heard the 'counter offer' was about 600 billion(?) on the infrastructure bill.

Which hey why not pass that with 60 and then go back to upgrade schools and things that help our urban areas that the Right wing hate mongers like to troll the Democrats with with 50.

(I don't know much about this youtube channel (but I have not heard him pushing any propangda outside of maybe elevating the propangda brandnames), but it has really interesting clips.

Brett Farve is pushing the 'both sides' troll hard.

The only reason that these things are made political is because a right wing hate monger decided to make it one and they unleashed the trolls to spam the story into relevance so that Trump and the Republicans could use the atheletes protesting right vs wrong (and I am guessing all the trolls that they have in those athletes social media feeds) as their foils for their propaganda.

The issue of what the protests about social justice is not a political issue outside of the Republican party needing those social divides to maintain power in our political system.

Affiliated with The Young Turks crowd, left side of the democratic party.

Good commentary and good points, Favre is typical of many white males, who are trying to appear socially acceptable and I'm sure try on a conscious level to be better. They are also deeply conditioned to racism and since we are all driven by subconscious forces and our conditioning, this confused mess of a human being is the result. What generally is presented to consciousness and comes out of our mouths is what we feel will be acceptable to others and the community. This helps us to survive in social environments, but in modern America this can vary a bit depending on the tribe we affiliate ourselves with. However being overtly racist can cost you your job and business, ruin the political careers of many and goes against the broad and evolving social consensus. The conditioning remains however, as does the unconscious bias. The social consensus for what is acceptable speech and behavior is changing fast, faster than may can adapt or feel comfortable with, thus the whining about "cancel culture" and other constraints on "freedom".

It is interesting because that is why the militarized trolling is so effective IMO.

People start to think how they talk online more readily than they talk in person (maybe because they are less likely to talk much about stuff in real life than they are online?) and they can't differentiate what people are saying in real life from being so hardened to what the troll has been pushing (especially trigger phrases that then can be pushed on the person they are talking to in real life from whatever conflicting position on whatever is likely to be talked about in real life).

People say things online they would never say in their communities, patriots and traitors are alike in this, though the patriots have no reason to hide their feelings, more so lately. Anonymous places like this are the worst though and even email can be bad inside companies. Getting people together for face to face meetings helps to moderate online behavior though!

Trigger phrases like cancel culture strike a harmonious note with those who feel they can relate to it. Come up with a pithy little phrase that encapsulates what I've been saying above and it will spread like wild fire and be adopted by the right overnight. Similarly the media diet and personalities who present opinion, makes them feel more comfortable and less socially rejected. We humans feel real pain with social rejection which can be subtle or gross and emotionally traumatizing. They go to fox because CNN, regular media and news makes them feel like someone is sticking a pin in their ass and people go to the most comfortable place. Also people are lazy and the process of change requires learning and reevaluation and in many cases a struggle against a life time of conditioning that told them that the world should be a certain way.

When fox started to report the truth about the election results the pin became a nail and the worse of them ran off to Newsmax and OAN for some "loving comfort" and to feel warm and fuzzy!

Never is a very big word.

The sheer amount of 'Karen (trigger word too)' videos show us that it is not really that uncommon anymore.

When everything is blasting hate at them full volume (Radio/TV/Internet/"Friends aka Trolls" online) even if the people caught up in these very tight information bubbles are thinking they are talking about something rationally, in reality their brain is cycling through every hateful troll that they would be typing and the chance at a actual conversation is lost.

If the consistent hate mongering that is 24/365 for the last decade alters the perception of the person being trolled enough to plant those trigger words (like 'cancel culture'). It is easy to get the person interacting to steer those conversations that are planted by left-trolls to get them to be able to use it.

Also I don't think of the trigger words as a binary thing, more of a chain reaction that uses a string of trigger words to devolve a conversation down to as low as it gets before people in real life get real mad at one another.

And the amount of trolling a person receives online is inverse to the time it takes for them to get shitty.

We just see the Karen's more with video, they've always been around and in even greater numbers in the past. Anger causes people to lose emotional control and allows their conditioning to slip out, though some people are so conditioned, it's a normal waking state for them.

As for trolling, challenging the words and beliefs of many people with reason and logic is considered trolling. They most often find themselves in moral and ethically indefensible positions when interacting with polite society. They most often resort to lies, deception, deflection and assorted rhetorical tricks. Fake news and libertard are often the responses when they are cornered, as they always are.

Speaking about the trigger word 'Cancel Culture' is basically the same trigger trolling being used to program real life fights.

Reading Rainbow guy really lays that nonsense to rest.

It is probably temporary. Plenty of artists are getting famous thanks to controversial pieces and haters. It seems to have an effect on big businesses, but independent artist have a much greater reach than they had a decade ago. I wonder what has more of an impact on our society, when controversy = views, views = more views, all making money.

views = trolls. I really hope that the trolls amplifying the controversies is temporary, I am surprised that it is not more being done in public view about this problem already.

I know Biden has his hands full dealing with the mess Trump left with a raging pandemic and crashed economy, but I was really hoping for more by now. The Republicans are still all in on pushing fake narratives, and I am sick of just hoping that the worst of it is going to be called out and dealt with decisively.

Views = the mob viewing stuff. Trolls are the ones commenting and raising the entertainers placement in the algorithms.

The election results fake narrative has basically been squashed (not that it had much to continue with once Biden literally took over). If only there were more sides than just two.... Harder to force a narrative when there are multiple groups fighting it with a different narrative. It isn't just politicians pushing narratives (which could be fixed inhouse), entertainers push the narratives to the mob and without trampling freedom of speech, you cannot fix that.
