Starting with a big yeilder

When reading this my first thought was rather than pick genetics for yield, pick genetics that give you the best chance of success. I.e. a heavy yielder that ends with bud rot and a ruined harvest won't give you great joy for all your hard work.

Rather than yield traits you might want to look at genetics that are mold resistant, limited height for indoor ops, etc. Especially the newer to growing you are the more I'd aim for success than yield alone.

Critical and lines from that are designed for heavy yield. But in reality you should grow something you want to smoke, just like growing vegetables, grow something you know you like to eat!

AKs are fast, but I would consider the yield large only related to the flowering time. Decent, but not really huge. They would jump out of the gate, but eventually get dwarfed by longer flowering strains.
I had similar experience with AK47. Big buds earlier on. Lacked size in the end. As well as nothing crazy quality wise.

Mine would end up looking like whatever those old school hand grenades on a stick are called. The strain has a special place in my heart because they were part of my first grow. I kept a mother and ran it for years. I think it's a good beginner strain because they are hard to wreck, a quick flowering time, decent yields, bag appeal, tasty terps, a chill high. It's a nice all arounder. I just wouldn't throw it into the huge yielder category. But to be fair it might have just been the genetics from particular generic cross that I bought.

.

Serious Happiness by Serious Seeds won an award as most productive strain. Huge yields with a strain that will put a smile on your face. My next strain to order, I'm currently growing 2 other Serious Seed strains - Kali Mist and Motivation.

"The yield of this variety is AMAZING! She received the SPECIAL AWARD for the MOST PRODUCTIVE variety at the Master Seedscup 2016 (edition: Outdoor Spain) from YERBA-Magazine.

Her aroma and taste are sweet and fruity, sometimes a bit spicy, with a sugary aftertaste when smoked. That is the moment when she gives pure happiness for the second time. Her effect is a longlasting buzz that combines a nice body-stoned with an incredible head-high, we felt this as pure bliss. "

Disagree with what? The yield or the flowering time?
Yield pure AK pulled 2 from 600w in a quick setup. Agree on quick turn around. I been down this highest yield path years ago
I have tested all at once Channel +, Critical +, Critical Kush, Critical Hog, Industry Plant, Chemdawg which set Pure ak to the side with little attention and out of the lot its a big rec for beginners from me.

Id like to know what long flowering sativas you speak of?

Blue dream from ilgm.com I have pulled 21+ oz off 1 plant in a 5 gal fabric pot of coco with a 7 week veg from seed and 8 oz of 1 plant vegged for 4 weeks from seed 4 was lst which was really a 5 week veg because all she did was stretch for the 5th week

She was at about 4-5 weeks in this pic and I chopped her at 12.5 weeks, she just kept throwing more and more hairs and refused to amber up

I didn't say anything about sativas, but the GSP I ran with them was definitely Durban leaning and dwarfed the AKs once they matured.

The AKs were freebies that came with the Cookies. Amazingly the are still offering them as freebies.

I ran their Blue Dream once, but I also ran a bunch of other blue, purple and black strains at the same time thinking it would be a fun theme. Then I accidentally mixed them up and never knew what was what.
