Typically I like the 5 and 7 gallons. Im thinking of trying a round of 4 gallons unless anyone can persuade me from it. I'm interested in what everyone else uses for indoors only.
Your call. I use 2 & 3 gal in a 4x4. And I use plastic nursery pots.Typically I like the 5 and 7 gallons. Im thinking of trying a round of 4 gallons unless anyone can persuade me from it. I'm interested in what everyone else uses for indoors only.
Good to hear. I'm about to do 4x 4gallon pots in a 3x3. Should be enough. Veg time maybe 4.5 weeks.Your call. I use 2 & 3 gal in a 4x4. And I use plastic nursery pots.
I run 10@2gallons with a 4-5 week flip from rooted clone. 9 is ideal. Or 6 at 3 gal if a longer branching strain.Good to hear. I'm about to do 4x 4gallon pots in a 3x3. Should be enough. Veg time maybe 4.5 weeks.
Interesting indeed. Do you top/ train those ladies and if so, how many colas do you average per plant?I run 10@2gallons with a 4-5 week flip from rooted clone. 9 is ideal. Or 6 at 3 gal if a longer branching strain.
I'm a butcher. I lolipop and scrog when multiples. Works for me. My outdoors and mothers get topped and trained. Mom's can have too many tops. LOL. I stop at 8 on a harvest bound outdoor. And twice indoors would be pushing my usable space.Interesting indeed. Do you top/ train those ladies and if so, how many colas do you average per plant?
Yes on the clones. Dense enough is a matter of lights, plant health and good medium in my grows. And here is a pic or two of that grow. What do you see? LOl.Haha, awsome pics. Do you find with the 2-3 gallon pots, the plants grow dense enough nugs?
I just noticed, you said 4-5 week flip from clone. So that means you veg 4-5 weeks in a 2-3 gallon pot with your clones?
Indoors you need healthy roots. And 2 gal is plenty if doing short flips. Outdoors is another story for monsters. But bigger is not always better. LOL.Very nice indeed! I was worried 4 gallons might be a bit too small but you have me at ease! Well done and thank you .
This sounds like my style. I top them and let the plants do their thing, maybe i'll bend a few branches manually with my fingers (hopefully not breaking any branches!) here and there and have them almost horizontal for a day or two, repeat. After enough of doing this, I'll start flower. I buy packs of 5 feminized seeds so 9 plants a run would be somewhat expensive. But then again, nobody can argue that the initial investment isnt worth it! Going with a round of 4 gallons this time. Im suprised you guys are actually running smaller than 4 gallons tbh, but then again you guys are running more plants than I would.I do 3 gallon pots indoors. 4x4 tent with 9 plants, usually topped 1-2 times for 4-8 tops each. Fills in the space nicely with no real training other than the topping.
True on the outdoors. I'm running them in 15 gallons outside and usually get nice 6-7 foot plants.Indoors you need healthy roots. And 2 gal is plenty if doing short flips. Outdoors is another story for monsters. But bigger is not always better. LOL.
Best wishes. I hope I helped.
i think your muddling up pot size to plant size with autos, i could be wrong. but the larger the pot the better auto's do aparantly, im doing my first real grow with autos this year so cant realy coment.Haha, awsome pics. Do you find with the 2-3 gallon pots, the plants grow dense enough nugs?
