I remember being a kid at the Crown Hill Marriott edit: Hyatt Regency in KC, the one with the huge bridge collapse that killed people. The Yankees were staying there and one was staying in a room that adjoined ours. He hit a couple home runs the night before and the village people were on American Bandstand. He cranked Macho Man way the fuck up on the TV.

It was hilarious. I was a tyke, but I had their number. I am sure he was dancing around in bikini riefs.

It's not as if anybody actually listened to what he said. They reacted emotionally. Talk radio has something like 30 years of his broadcasts, so, Rush and Snerdley can just continue on because a simple thing like dying isn't something that gets in the way of profits and spreading false right wing lies.

It ain't so much the likes of Rush as it's the ones who pay them and offered local radio stations his programs for free. Rush's are a dime a dozen and they will find another one for rural hate radio. Joe should have the FCC reassign the AM broadcast band to digital ASAP and change the licensing requirements for the digital service, take yer time too. The serpent's voice will be silenced in millions of half tons and the democrat's wouldn't lose a single vote over it. As for the station owners, fuck them, making war on your own country has consequences and it's high time they were felt.

Want to narrow the urban rural divide? This would be a start, they can still stream it on the internet, but reception in a rural half ton with a gullible moron behind the wheel would be problematic. The AM band should go to digital use, like TV did.

Rush was not a dime a dozen. He was a narcissistic prick who possessed real talent at what he did and he did it out of pure self interest.

Similarly, Hitler was too. No Hitler, no nazis. Rush succeeded in getting the sheep to believe that the real America was the America that dumb, white masses saw in John Wayne movies and that anybody who felt differently was anti-American.

No Limbaugh, no Trump.
