Exactly. I do use bottled EWC Tea a couple times throughout the grow but that’s too boost the microbes so other than that it’s just tap water with a pinch of Epsom. Thanks for that. Super simple set up. I’m used to bottle nutrients with ml/ppm all that jazz. The way you described pretty much has you watering and walking away.
Each have their own benefits. It’s about what works for you. And jobes works for my dumb ass.
The plant is pretty much on autopilot. Feed the microbes, got it. I can tolerate the smell if it’s top shelf flowers at the end. Interested to see the difference between organic and bottled nutes.Exactly. I like the EWC from Vermisterra, been using it for a few years now. They also make the bottled EWC tea I buy. Plants love the tea but damn does it stink.
It can be a challenge ,big pots with good soil will help 10 fold.I notice most if not all good growers here up pot just before flower. So veg in 2 gallon then into 10+ pots.Im doing that now and it sure helps. The plant is pretty much on autopilot. Simple question.. By 50/50 veg and bloom you mean 2 tbsp each of both per gallon of medium?Yeah. I do things a bit different since I like to reuse my soil each time so I mix up two separate batches of soil. One for veg and one for early flower. I let each batch “cook” for 2-4 weeks before use.
The veg batch gets 2tbs per gallon of the Premium Gold and EWC.
The early flower batch also gets EWC and 2tbs per gallon but I do a 50/50 blend of Premium Gold and Flower Girl for this batch. After about 4 weeks of flower I’ll top dress with 3tbs/gallon of just Flower Girl and EWC.
I start my clones in 1g pots for veg and then transplant them into 7g pots with the early flower soil mix for flowering. If I’m starting from seed, I’ll do a lighter mix with about 1tbs of Premium Gold per gallon in the small starter pots and then transplant them over to the 1g.
No, it’s still 2tbsp per gallon I just spit it between the two amendments. So for my 7g pots, I do 14tbsp total but 7tbsp will be veg and 7tbsp will be bloom.Simple question.. By 50/50 veg and bloom you mean 2 tbsp each of both per gallon of medium?
Do you feed every watering? Or like once a week? No, it’s still 2tbsp per gallon I just spit it between the two amendments. So for my 7g pots, I do 14tbsp total but 7tbsp will be veg and 7tbsp will be bloom.
Once a month. Its different with dry amendments as they take some time to break down and become usable for the plant. A proper top dressing of amendments will last around 4 weeks.Do you feed every watering? Or like once a week?
Like he said every watering is a feeding basically. The food is constantly being broken down and made available to the plant as needed.Do you feed every watering? Or like once a week?
That was the hardest part for me to realize. It’s hard when you’re used to pouring ml upon ml waiting for your plants to grow. With this method you do all the hard work upfront and sit back and enjoy the ride.Like he said every watering is a feeding basically. Any real difference from GG? I just wonder if the jobes will give me some weird defficiency later because it has less ingredients - one ingredient really.. chicken (blood/bone/feather+k2so4), while GG has over a dozen sources.I use Jobes organic 4-4-4
I’m in the states GG is unavailable here.Any real difference from GG? I just wonder if the jobes will give me some weird defficiency later because it has less ingredients - one ingredient really.. chicken (blood/bone/feather+k2so4), while GG has over a dozen sources.
Also is jobes a faster release than GG? It seems like it given the label information..
FYI gaia green is actually cheaper here (in the 50lb bags vs the jobes 17.5lb bags)
I guess what I meant was, can you run straight through with jobes and only jobes without worrying about deficiencies?I’m in the states GG is unavailable here.
I assume their similar, the GG is a much better price @$1 a pound.I guess what I meant was, can you run straight through with jobes and only jobes without worrying about deficiencies?
Also, what's your feed schedule/amount like? At mixing then twice through the grow?

Picked up a bag of jobes 444 for garden plants and am considering using it for bud too. I am currently using only GG, 3tbsp per gal of soil at planting and 1tbsp per gallon of soil as a top dress twice during the grow. Are jobes and gg effectively interchangeable used like this (amounts and timing)?
