Coming from rdwc how good is these autopots? i'm really looking into the ease and silence of these autopots.... i'm ready to drop rdwc for these because of the extra parts i got going with rdwc... pumps, chiller so on... only thing stopping is the yields but i do see guys pulling good numbers tho! what medium you guys using? what size system? xl with smart pots?
I use Promix. I think a lot of people use the co co coir. I see no need to switch because I have a lot of Promix. I've been running the same promix for 5 years. I usually yield 1.5 gpw with a 30 day veg

Hi all, just an update on my 4 pot system,
I have the 1.5 inches of clay pebbles in bottom as they suggest
It's coco, perlite and pebbles mixed
Fed for 3 weeks from top (plants about 10 inches)
All seemed to be goin fine untill this afternoon. The pots are totally saturated very heavy and wetter than I would ever keep my plants. They were also still sat in a lot of solution.. I've taken them out and placed them on an angle on the trays to let them dry out. Also turned res off..
Not really sure what to make of it! as the valves are clearly working or the res would be emptying on the floor or the pots would be totally dry bit miffed.
I'm hoping that once the plants get bigger then they will absorb the solution quicker therefore having a little time to dry out better. One thing I will say is the plants arnt showing any signs of overwatering I think I caught it early enough.. they look very very healthy

Love my auto pots had them about 6 years

Too tip 4 replace the smaller water lines each cycle and clean the shit out of the res also once a cycle.
Don't run enzymes in the res as they will block your lines with goo
Wow great results!! I'll keep on to of cleaning and replace the pipe regular!! Did you ever have issues with over watering?

Yep made that mistake you have to mix it with a min 40% perlite.

I run a mix of peat with perlite.

No perlite and you have a soggy blob of Coco or peat

I also feed with mega crop one part and pH to 5.8 to 6.3 depending where it falls
