Yeah, years ago my buddy gave me a cut of J1, and told me it was a 55-day cut. I thought he was crazy, but listened to him for the first run of it, because he had grown it for years, and it came out great. The next run of it, I thought I'd show him better and let it go an extra week. It was ok after that extra week and did gain a bit of yield, but it wasn't better, and frankly it lost some of it's luster in both the high and the terps department, after going that extra week. I always chopped that cut at around 56-days after that. I did lose the cut, but heard that it's still floating around the bay area.
Alright, fuck it.... I'll take your and my boys advice and chop at day 60. Then I'll try another run and chop at day 67 and see what the difference is, if any. Good lookin out. :bigjoint:

I often will do a staggered harvest on new strains. Chop a branch at 56 days, another at 60, one at 65, at 70, etc.. Then compare the smoke. That's really the only way you will know how you like it.

Also I do use a far red end of day treatment in my flowering cycle, which pushes ripeness up at least 3 days.

I did a multi stage harvest last time. I didn't really notice a difference except lowers got darker.

I read that at 8 weeks thc is high as it will be 10 weeks yield increase thc decrease.
dont rember the strain.

There was no sign at all lol
You can sometimes tell from the fan leaves, which will display signs of extreme necrosis. Silica will help a bit to prevent bud rot, and so will proper humidity and good air circulation. Huge buds are also more likely to get rot. That's one of the reasons I train for lots of medium sized buds instead of a few huge colas.

Yeah, it's all strain dependent, and also user dependent. Some people grow to sell for $$ and others grow for headstash. If you are selling, weight might be more important than high. Also you gotta determine how much more weight you will pack on vs how much more time. My 8 to 10 week strain will pack on 25% more weight in those two weeks between 8 and 10, so if that worth the extra time or not? 50/50?

Yh there was no sign on the leaves either, ventilation isn't a problem, also I do use silicon but cut it out after vegging, so maybe il continue the use throughout flower. Thank you

if you can get 25% more I would go for the yeild.
I got low yielders so im gonna start pulling at breeders recommendation I dont get that much going any longer.

Slurricane. I usually do a staggered harvest of that strain, because I love the 8-week harvest grape terps, which diminish with longer flowering time.
